I dunno is it? I think that's what brought the F80 weight down to 35XX lbs vs 3900lbs for a comparable 340i. It is what it is, I still love the G80 and think it's a great car. Just saying I wouldn't concern myself with some sort of M logo on the brakes... Get the car... TAKE SOME PICS FOR US TO DROOL OVER and enjoy it! I can't wait to hear about it here.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 4:45 pmMost of that stuff is and unnecessary. The sliders in the rear is the only thing that really bothers me but I haven't seen any reviews complain about the brakes so whatever.max225 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 4:35 pm Well they "cheapened" a lot with the G80... vs say the F80... but comparably speaking the F80 was actually quite a bit MORE expensive when adjusted for inflation.
as far as I know it doesn't have a carbon fiber drive-shaft anymore...
carbon fiber front fenders...
DCT vs pedestrian 8 speed
No Li-ion battery
No rear fixed calipers
F80's also don't have carbon fiber fenders and the DCT supposedly can't handle the torque of the S58. But with how bulletproof the ZF is, I'd probably rather have that than the DCT anyways.

about the brake logos, I'm sure there are enough M logos on that nasty bitch.
Also, I wouldn't draw extra attention to sliders. I'm sure it'll stop great, sliders just look a bit more pedestrian to the three people in each state who notice/know the difference.

Tints on day 1. Start the lemon process on day 3?Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 12:42 pmNo changes. It's still sitting at the port in new jersey. Truck is scheduled to pick it up on the 7th and diller should have it same day. I'll let them do PDI and I'm scheduled to pick it up this Saturday.
Dropping it off at the detailer the night of the 12th for cologard PPF, tint, and the color matched sidemarkers. Probably going to stick with 40% tint which was on my last GoRf. Should have the car back on the 15th.
Then I've got tire rack scheduled to do a mobile install at my house on the 16th to mount the DWS' on the Apex ramz and throw them on the car.
I’m much excite for this to come in. I’ll live vicariously through you.

It's not like I'm putting those caliper covers on that you see on most chargers and durangos.

Caliper covers are seriously felonious. Like, I know you have poverty sliders bro. Why didn't you not get that chick pregnant and now you're paying all that child support instead of being able to afford a car with fixed caliper brakes?.Gberg2119 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:11 pmI mean, they're only $21. I am still voting that dressing up sliders is a no go. But it's already too late.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:45 pmCaliper covers are seriously felonious. You assume they're actually paying the child support? Not a chanceDesertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:45 pmCaliper covers are seriously felonious. Like, I know you have poverty sliders bro. Nah. I haven't ordered them yet. I'll see how it looks with the black calipers I got but here's what it looks like on red.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:49 pmI am still voting that dressing up sliders is a no go. But it's already too late.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:45 pm

I'm good with it.
I don’t think it’s too bad, especially when I have black calipers. The R logos on the front brakes of the were just clip ins.

After 2 mins of forum searching it seems like a lot of people had theirs fall off. And are really upset they keep replacing them. While others never had them on their car. And still others are “relieved” their car came with them.
Wow note to self, don’t visit bmw forums.

It would be like getting a Rolex without the green card with the serial number. With Caliper Cover: Blessed Lands. Without: Cast on the rocks below.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:39 am After 2 mins of forum searching it seems like a lot of people had theirs fall off. Can we talk about the fact that too many ///M badges are tacky … like do they need to be placed on the brakes for any purpose other than upping the gaudinessDesertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 12:11 pm I am really enjoying the uproar over these cosmetic doo dads. 5/7 will re-up my subscription to this thread.

Can we talk about how every bmw I see from poverty spec up to X7's have the M colors painted or vinyl wrapped in the grille? That's really
From what I've seen they came on the cars for 2021 and 2022. Then for 2023 some had them and others didn't. Now for 2024 they're gone completely.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:39 am After 2 mins of forum searching it seems like a lot of people had theirs fall off.
