Worst JDPower IQS ever. Evidence right here.
What's amazing is my poverty ancient 4R arrived at the dealer without a single flaw. I dunno if I got lucky or if Toyota's Japanese QC is better than others. The issues on the Fendie should be viewed as unacceptable IMO.

Doesn't matter. What the end customer receives is initial quality, regardless of where it came from. There has to be QC at the port or somewhere that's slipping.

Plenty of cars get repaired at the port or dealer when they come in.
Just a shitty delivery quality check at some point in the process.
I mean I’ve said it before but my fucking doors don’t line up or sit flush. Industry wide the quality is really not great right now. For all the crying everyone did about Tesla, it’s like the whole industry took a step back while they’re attempting to make improvements. The playing field appears to be level.

Tesla proved people will line up to spend six figures for a car with traditionally crap build quality. Add to that issues with production and staffing and the fact that people will pretty much buy anything right now, and I think a lot of car companies are just pounding out the metal ZFG. It's a sad degradation in quality, but there's zero incentive to do better, so it's what we get now.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:48 pm Plenty of cars get repaired at the port or dealer when they come in.

Maybe quality will come back when people won't buy anything instantly, but I doubt it. build quality.

Anyways back on track here. Here is my current thought process.
Going to go back to the dealer and ask for Full msrp increase rebate ($2025), and removal of any of the $3400 add ons of bullshit that they are trying to get. (They haven't even told me what those are).
The line in the sand is acceptance of a NEW car in NEW condition with no scratches + Current msrp (minus the rebate that JLR provided, $1645).
We shall see if it'll happen. So far I have been really UNHAPPY with this dealership and how they conducted themselves. And may escalate to the GM of the dealer.
