Added Artemis to my want to read list. Working my way through I Wear the Black Hat; it is not what I thought it would be, but I am enjoying it. He went on about the Clinton - Lewinsky scandal for longer than I cared for though.
Plowed through the first 2 books of the Aliomenti series by Alex Albrinck. Then, I hit a wall in the third and took a little break. It just seemed like too much recapping. After the break, I plowed through the remainder.

People have learned to harness the Energy inside you to do "magical" things. Think of it like those theories that people only use 10% of their brains/imagine what people could do with full capacity/etc. There's a bit more to it than that, obviously, but I don't want to give it away.
Generally, they've been pretty good, quick reads that other fantasy/sci-fi fans would like.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

Sounds like something I would like.
I hate the “we only use 10% of our brains” nonsense though.

Mostly because Rogan is slacking on dem podcasts
Started reading Scythe. It’s pretty awesome. Takes place in a uproot-like world where humanity has defeated much of its challenges including death. There is no crime, no poverty, no suffering. There are Scythes that are selected to kill people honorably to keep the population under control. So, they select people based on statistics from the “Age of Mortality”c (I.e if one out of every 100,000 people will die in a car accident, then one person at random that is driving in a car will be selected to get “gleaned”. The concept is 5/7 better than I describe it.
Story folllws two teens that get selected to be part of the Scythes. That’s how far I got so far

2/3 of the way through the 7th of the series. 5 and 6 were fantastic. This one is really good as well - closing up loops and explaining a bunch of stuff.
