And build up in the "I get it, the horse is dead, shits about to go down" way. Going to see if I can fly through it but I might not pick up his next book, I'm that annoyed.
really.. I enjoyed it.
razr390 wrote: Sat Mar 24, 2018 10:36 pm Just finished Armada. 4/7 book.

Going to start Red Sparrow soon.
70% through Armada. so far so good
Armada is 5/7 after 50% through. Has a VERY slow start but it gets good quick.

Already pre-ordered but I am an unabashed Comey for many years so I'm not the best marker on this one.
An unabashed Comey WHAT? Fan? Dissenter? :notsure:

He's made mistakes but he has always done what he thought was the right (in the moral sense) thing to do.

Thought so, but didn't want to assume.

I've had the pleasure of hearing him speak a few times as well. :mindblown: intelligence.
Doesn't surprise me, really.

Just finished Artemis, Andy Weir's follow-up to The Martian. It's a crime caper set in the first city on the moon. 5/7. Looks like he set it up to possibly be a series, or at least for a sequel.

Just started And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It's supposedly her best crime novel.

Ready Player One is great if you’re into pop culture from 70’s-present and whatnot.

Finished Ready Player One in just over a week. Excellent read. I totally geeked out.

While I knew there were going to be differences from the movie (which I saw before reading the book), I didn't expect as much of a difference as there was. While I loved both the book and movie - I think of it more as two different perspectives on the same main storyline - I can see why you, @razr390, didn't appreciate the film as much, having read the book first.

Just ordered Setting the Table by Danny Meyer. 5/7 excited to read it. I don’t expect much interest here but if you have any interest in his restaurants in NYC, it’s had good response as a good read.

Excited to read his thoughts and theories for why so much shit in the hospitality world is the way it is.

On the last few chapters of A Dance with Dragons. Been on an audiobook kick this past year. I went through all of the Lord of the Rings and Middle Earth related works (for the third time in my life, this time on audiobook), all Harry Potter books and am about to finish the Game of Thrones series. It's been so much fun :D

Interested.

I'm reading Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. Finding it a dense read, but not as bad as Cryptonomicon which I have tried to read three times and end up putting it down. I haven't had a lot of reading time in the last few weeks so not far. Luckily, it is coming into pool and boat season so, that might uptick.
