General video game chat

Not a lot of topics in here, I figure this one could be useful.

Mostly because I wanted to ask if anyone has played the new Mass Effect yet, but didn't think that question needed a whole thread to itself.

The good news is then hopefully all the expansions for the first will become dirt cheap or free. Then I could catch up on the actual story content. All 2 hours of it.

After the story was essentially cut from the game Destiny 1 was supposed to be a "you just woke up in the middle of a war, get shooting" kind of thing.

I would love a prequel with the Reef Wars between the Awoken and Fallen armies.

Just followed this guide and put some ROMs on a flash drive, the emulator runs on my Pi so it's time to test it out. I bought the SNES controller they mention too.

Raspberry Pi retro gaming system running. FZero and Metal Marines run from SNES pretty well and Streets of Rage 2 from Gensis runs too!

Okay, Streets of Rage still sucks.

Currently playing Overwatch on PC. Been at it for a while. Waiting for the next thing to come along that me and a couple of buddies jump on. Likely won't go back for the next WoW expansion, I think I'm finally done with that game.
Interested in another pure racing sim though.

What other classic games should I try on this? I never had a system before my PS1, I would love to emulate my favorite old PS1 games like Wipeout, Jet Moto, G Police, MGS, CSotN, etc.

Megaman X was one of my favorites on SNES. There are so many good games that it's hard to know where to begin though, I didn't play that many of them either. A lot of people love the obvious stuff like Final Fantasy and Zelda. I didn't have patience for RPG's back then and don't really have time for them now, so I'm not an expert on them but Super Mario RPG was pretty cool from what little I remember.

I loved destiny when it first came out. But then they stopped all the loot caves and ability to level up without excessive grinding. I dislike games where I need to grind for levels, guns, and gear.

Give me objectives to work towards and not just luck of the draw. I hate when I am the highest contributing asset to the mission and I dont receive adequate compensation for my work.

I am contemplating getting destiny 2 in order to try the new game and see what theyve changed.

Destiny's gameplay, as someone who's played FPS games back to Wolfenstein, was outstanding. The grind was made easier if you played with fun people which I eventually did, mostly I had just been PVPing before that.

I've seen them but they run like shit, I wish Sony would release the legit software environment, they could probably make money off it.

I've been building up my snes collection and adding to my nes collection. I'm at about 60-70 carts off the top of my head across both of them plus the genesis carts.

Speak of the devil, my destiny fireteam logged on and we did the Nightfall. All the elemental burns are on so everything does tons of damage.

Anyone, does someone get a notification when you unfollow them on XBL? I'd like to *quietly* par down my friends list of people I added.
