It was my reality...and why I'm so dreading going back.
Now they just look for you to be idle on teams
That’s why you go into settings and extend that time. :hubba:

We don't use teams, we use Google. And fortunately/somehow, my boss doesn't. He still uses skype that nobody uses, and has been spotty for me...I don't get a lot of his messages.

That's pretty much the best
Hence why WFH has been a savior for me.

I generally like it. Way better than Skype and I prefer it to slack.
I was :notsure: at first because new... but Teams is pretty cool. It was a 5/7 upgrade from what we did before.

Google works REALLY well. I'm amazed that my ancient company jumped on that bandwagon a few years ago.

It's been working pretty well for us for the past 4 months or so.

Yeah it’s replacing Skype as our hipaa compliant platform

GM probably spent nearly $1B updating offices in the tech center campus to open concept. I actually really liked it because without an assigned seat, people couldn't easily find you.
Interesting take on things.
There were days where I worked from home, but people thought I was in the office. I lived close enough that if someone wanted to have a meeting, I'd agree to meet them in 30min somewhere and drive to the office claiming I "had to work from a different building for meetings or lack of desk space or etc"

It was fantastic.

Oh man, I stopped using Yeti tumblers for hot things because of this. They work epic for cold things with ice :doe:

We have two (the left in your pic). If you put the lid on to take on the road or something, it is still too scalding to drink even 30 minutes or more into a drive. Best to pour it about 10+ minutes before and leave the lid off until you're ready to go.

We used them at the beach for cocktails though, even in 95F weather they keep ice cubes whole for hours :impressive:

I am partial to a good old fashioned pottery coffee cup (ceramic, whatever it's called).

Big ceramic coffee cups are my favorite.
