Locked in the date yesterday. No sense in being engaged for a long time when you've been dating for 6 years.
:fuckyeah:

Zero point in waiting IMO. Weddings can be a ton of fun if planned right.
I almost always have fun at weddings.

Grats, Johnny. You're going to have a busy few months wedding planning unless she does it while you're road tripping.

Me, apparently.

I've spent a lot of time in OBX. It's great and awful all at the same time - great for decompression though.
What is awful about the Outer Banks?
it's practically an isolated land and more getaway oriented. Think of it like Key West but way less touristy like. There's literally one decent hotel/resort, A bunch of restaurants and bars, not even a mcdonalds exists there. I know some people who lives in my area, especially a few :waxer: friends I went to high school with have huge beach houses there (I stayed in one). Not to mention, I live in an area where the median housing is $500k.

Not sure if I still kept pics on my laptop of the house.

Road trips may bring inspiration on like wedding theme based on the scenery they may witness and what not, just my opinions.

Ugh sometimes it bugs me that my downpayment is a house somewhere else. Maybe I need to revisit my whole living arrangement

I don't know about you, but I truly have no desire to own anything in OBX. All the people I know that has houses there are :waxer:
I stayed at my cousins friends parents house for almost a week, nearly 4 floors, one being just a decked rooftop, about 5 rooms and so on. Sadly I don't have any pics from it but i'll street view.

if you move to a lower COL area you can buy a house cash and change oil at jiffy lube to make ends meet on the monthlies.

Someone's taking a little drive on Saturday. :hue:
Yep.
If they can do that deal, I cut a check for $5500 and I'm out of the Subaru and into that and own it outright.
If you like it, that sounds like a fantastic idea

4 weeks off starting April 22.
I don't know if I'll necessarily travel hardcore. But I'll be soul searching and deciding what I want to do with my career. Possibly not come back to the plant.

Probably will still take the mountain bike places to brap.
