Just heard back … the snail mail part didn’t fix the issue … they are contacting Germany again. 48 hr turnaround time usually and it’s the weekend so so it’ll likely be Tuesday before another update.

Checked the giant car seat in the back of the I4. And it fits once I move the front seat forward but the azn still fits pretty good.
Backup plan is that this would be her car for the time being.

Had a nice call with the service manager who was great.
1. Option to get a trade assist is likely going to be crappy because we didn’t buy car there.
2. Buy back is a likely option as it would be going to the bmw legal team
3. To wait until a fix
Option 2 is the one I’m exploring … the service manager is reaching out to the factory rep to see what else can be done and as far as next steps before it goes to legal.
He asked to call the 1800 # but warned that they will still see it as 0 days in service due to the fact that it is an active repair order that hasn’t been closed out.
So kind of a non answer here but service manager seems to think buyback is the way to go.
