They took my advise!wap wrote:Motherfucker!!Desertbreh wrote:The fucking car is Estoril Blue. After my concern about the order was addressed TWICE.
I'm now entering my 48 hour cooldown period. I'm the kind of guy, that if I address a concern, (Being the Estoril Blue listing on the order), you tell me Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's just part of the process, and then I get a motherfucking blue car, you are dead to me. I think I may just turn it over to the gf.
I was, for the last two hours, literally enraged.
So sorry to hear this. There is just no excuse for this fuckery after you checked twice. Inexcusable. YOU FUCKING CHECKED. TWICE.
They want to make it up to you? They ought to eat the cost and not charge you for the color you want. That would be the only reason to make it worth waiting until January for it.
And as for perspective, yea, it's a first world problem, for sure, but for reasons not of our doing, we are here in the first world and not getting what we ordered and paid for are legit problems.

$60k should come with heated seats standard, IMO.

Absolutely it should . But it doesn't and we're not paying for $1000 for heated seats and steering wheel when we live on the sun. Chris, when I get in my car and I'm cold, that's a good fucking day man. Infamous would go all Lady Galadriel/Ring of Power on this decision, but we got the features important to us, and we don't use heated seats. I'm not like Plac, using them as some sort of therapeutic device.Detroit wrote:$60k should come with heated seats standard, IMO.
If the seats were ventilated? I'd pay $2K for that. But that's not an option.

.9% financing is no longer locked in from our September application so if they don't re-up on that there may be more wrangling.

According to you and Troyguitar I'd be a moron to pay cash at .9% and I agree entirely. But we won't finance the whole thing I don't like driving around in a car that I owe more on than it's worth no matter how many numbers you show me.maxtdi wrote:You're not paying cash?Desertbreh wrote:

Will likely throw $20K at it.

It is what it is... whatever makes you sleep at night. If you put $1 or $60,000 the car cost remains the same. Except at 60k... you'll presumably miss out on 5% a year you could make on it if you were to invest it, but if you're sitting on it as is and have zero plans to invest, then put down as much as possible to avoid even the .9 % fee you'll get charged.Desertbreh wrote:According to you and Troyguitar I'd be a moron to pay cash at .9% and I agree entirely. But, it doesn't come with the seats you wanted.
What do you mean?
The car doesn't have seats, sir.

This is going to be a race of the M sports, who will get theirs first. My process once the car checks out will likely take another 1-2 weeks from today... should be interesting.

You can get heated seats standalone on BMWs. The cold weather "cali bay area gets 2 snowflakes a year" package gives you headlamp washers and an Infamous-approved heated steering wheel IIRC.MexicanYarisTK wrote:you want heated seats? you have to get the winter package, that would be $700 more sir.maxtdi wrote:BTW no heated seats?

IDK why you'd order a BMW without one.
