I should have mentioned that I don't understand most of that in my bill.

Getting back to electricity, my 'leccy bill is even more confusing,
It says I used 16.7 kwh, but elsewhere it says I used 484kwh
In a nutshell,
Supply was $35.22
Delivery was $32.38
Taxes and fees were $8.28

And I imagine gas use is minimal. No real heating demand, probably just for cooking stove/grill. Probably very little municipal gas in the entire country.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 6:47 pmInterestingly when I bought the gas grill for the place in Mexico I had it fitted with LP nipples...............only to find that the entire 6 tower condo complex is fueled by huge propane tanks. It was a requirement for us, 0/7 want to deal with propane.
Which pushes us into a area since the more affordable areas are still propane. I bet our gas costs are higher than other regions as a result. I don't have any old bills from out Detroit house to compare.

Crazy, zero consistency with yours and mine on billing. BUT Max posted that 1 CCF is 1.03 Therm, so essentially 1:1. You indeed use more and pay more in total with fees and taxes than I do. Total/use is pretty similar.wap wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 8:12 pmOk.

Well actually that is not the case. Although I put A/C in the place I have fired up the compressor................twice. The heater gets a major workout in the November to February mornings brah, I've got 95% humidity, total marine layer and mid 50s going on outside. I also have a gas stove. There seems to be this Mexico misconception that every place is hot but I moved to an oceanfront location 20 miles south of San Diego.Detroit wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 9:05 pmAnd I imagine gas use is minimal. Didn’t he mention that a 1100 sq foot place is double his current location so it makes senseDesertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:18 pm The fact that Brandon has ZERO HEAT.............is to me.

If he is at 650 sq ft or so.. he is proportionally at the same gas usage as I am at 1900. And we’re at the same climate at the moment. SD is slightly warmer actuallyDesertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:23 pmYeah but the San Dog town gets a little chilly from time to time. You are saying portable heaters and donezo?

HOLD THE BUS
I just realized I 'd out and posted November's electric bill. :moran:
Here's my December bill:
631 kwh
$45.92 supply
$37.91 delivery
$10.69 taxes and fees
$94.92 total
So about $320 combined gas and electric for December.
I am an idiot.

The fk… I missed the part with no heat?! How is there so much gas usage then … we use 10 therms a month with no heat … and gas stoveSAWCE wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 5:31 pm Last month's gas bill for us was $52.84 for 24 therms. I know that one man is not directly responsible for this, but still, on principle, fuck joe biden. For many things, but in this example actively destroying the energy economy and driving up cost (for those that can least afford it as well). this kind of increase in NG cost will show up as anywhere between a 2x or 3x factor in electric bills where the utility relies heavily on NG fired electricity generation too. Thank god here in his country we get over half our power from falling water and splittin atoms.
brain go brrrrrr

We don't even use portable heaters Michelle throws some extra blankets on her side of the bed and I'm good even in the coldest of San Diego winter nights under just a basic bitch blanket.. shit I still sweat most nights. We also have a 75lb German Shepherd dumping all her body heat into our bed at night as well though.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 11:23 pmYeah but the San Dog town gets a little chilly from time to time. I think just from how much we both cook, plus the showers. She takes unreasonably hot and long showers, and I could for sure cut the time that I'm in there down. Not sure what else would be using gas at all.max225 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 1:01 amThe fk… I missed the part with no heat?!
