Yeah, it’ll open a lot of door for her career and salary. The county used to have a licensing program, but they’re so understaffed right now that it’s non-functional.Calvinball wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 8:13 pmDefinitely get licensed.SAWCE wrote:
Social work. Currently doing CPS for the county. Looking to get out of that cause it's way too emotionally draining.

Yeah typically you need a bunch of supervised hours under someone who is licensed, and that is sometimes tough to come across.SAWCE wrote:Yeah, it’ll open a lot of door for her career and salary. I’d have stayed where I was if I could have pursued licensure more easily.

Yeah if your employer doesn’t offer it you have to pay out of pocket which is expensive and time consuming since you’re doing it outside of work. Her next career move will for sure be to go somewhere where she can get licensed.Calvinball wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:37 pmYeah typically you need a bunch of supervised hours under someone who is licensed, and that is sometimes tough to come across.SAWCE wrote:

So Josie has the cone of shame on to protect the skin sample stitches. Have to keep that on for 2 weeks. Eating is rather hilarious with it and results in food just flying everywhere and her getting upset/embarrassed so I take it off for that. She's scared of the cone while walking, since she's running into things and can't see where noises are coming form. But she is eating, and is a bit happier now, the swelling has gone down quite a bit from the draining they did and steroids they gave her, she doesn't appear to be in as much pain. She'll have two scars on her muzzle from where they took skin samples.
She was totally drugged and out of it yesterday. Just a hopeless non-moving lump. Tail was wagging this morning though.
She also stinks, I think from the staph. Gave her a sponge bath last night which she seemed indifferent to but at least she's not as smelly now.
Food right now is boiled ground beef mixed with kibble and broth to soften. So she's eating like a princess.
Solid chance she'll either pee or shit in the house today from the steroids and antibiotics so we have a neighbor coming over to walk her around lunch.

Thanks . She's getting there. In another 2 weeks when the cone comes off she'll be all butt wiggles and kisses and cuddles again.
Really curious to find out what this shit is though. Knowing my vet they'll try to prescribe aromatherapy, puppy massages and spa days, etc, When my kitty was coughing I took him in and told me he likely developed asthma due to his older age and needed a kitty inhaler that I'd need to use twice a day at the cost of $400/mo. I at the cost, that was flat out NGH on a 10 year old cat, so they said to just monitor him and if it gets worse we could talk about the inhaler. Turned out he was reacting to the powder that our bug man was using so we had him switch and now no more problems.
Lol. Kitty inhaler.
I like this vet, don't get me wrong they've helped immensely in the past and have almost always been spot on with their recs and treatments. Talked to some other people in Philly last night and this place is the unanimous recommendation from all of them. Most people feel the way I do about the cost being rather high doe.

There was something wildly boner inducing about the picture downloading a line at a time though.Big Brain Bradley wrote: ↑Wed Apr 25, 2018 8:15 amfucking shityy pics that still took 3 minutes to d/l on shitty 28.8 connections

Left my wallet at home today
Realized it after I ordered a breakfast sandwich.
Manager said to pay them back tomorrow and don’t worry about it

Just for considering it.

just tough it out. Which level does she currently have? LMSW is tier 1. Makes about 30-36k/year. Thats what you get right out of school. LCSW is the thing you want, but with out the right job, there is no financial gain for getting it. Need 2 years of supervision iirc. A lot of employers will let you get supervision from someone within the company. Others have to pay dearly to get the supervision hours, which is BS, as you already dont make shit.
