She probably bent the wheel. Doubt the bearing is FUBAR'd. Could have also bent a control arm or tie rod if it was hit that hard.

Although I did have two rear wheel bearings / drum brakes explode when I hit some construction on the PA turnpike once. Driving along at ~70 MPH, road dipped and BAM I'm on cheese grater resurfacing project. Came up to a bridge and they didn't transition it to the concrete. BOOM. Blasted those wheel bearings to absolute shit.
