Car is back together. But I didnt buy enough trans fluid because im a :derp:

Tonight I will get a bit more fluid and hopefully drive the car for the first time in two weeks.

Putting the car back together was overall simple. Took me about three hours with Vandorin's help.

Even managed to clean up some wiring and grime. There isnt a speck of rust on this entire car. Its amazing how clean the underside of the car is.

I thought you had a falling out? Glad to hear you've fallen back in.

I’ll cry. I deploy in under a week. I can’t afford to have a broken car in a house I’m moving out of.

We had an off but. But overall okay. Things are good now.

And he won’t computer. He’s a hermit if it’s more than 30 seconds online.

The car drives. I had a quick drive around the neighborhood. The clutch grabs super hard.

The car seems great otherwise.

50 miles down. No issues. But it’s snowing and I can’t get the car in the driveway currently.

I’ll just assume everything is okay for now.

I’m so happy this is taken care of. I leave Sunday and won’t see my car again until July.

Good news!

Will you be able to DFD while you're deployed?

I miss my car. Vandorin is finishing the clutch break in while I’m gone. I asked him to take some photos for me.

He took better photos than I have since I bought the car.

Any plans to build the engine or buy a new motorcycle are on hold. Ive had to start supporting my mom recently and without knowing the exact timeframe this may last. I will not be spending any significant amounts of money for such luxuries.

Question for the masses.

Would putting a hard top on the car keep things cooler while using the A/C?

Im moving to the Texas desert. And it gets pretty warm. I know its a convertible and that the top down is always best. But I like the look of the hardtop and if it also had a benefit of added cooling that would make things even better.

If it has a headliner and is painted it should help. If it's flat black you'll :roasted: in it.
