You haven't put that many miles on the 1LE or the Z06, why would the GT3 get more than their combined miles. You have other vehicles to split the mileage... Like the JLU
offing the defective 1LE makes sense... Z06 makes sense. Getting the JLU well that's a given it is almost here. Then getting wife something like a Macan and offing the JKU also makes sense. This way you have a JLU as a daily and a GT3 as a fun car. 3 cars for 2 people seems plenty, get her the "Turbo" macan and then drive that on the days you drove the Slowmaro and leave her the JLU at that point.
Voila... problem solved, everyone is driving a different car that is much nicer than before. And you don't have to add any extras into the stable.
Yeah, but that was a Ferd.
But did the Ferd burn 1 quart every 1k milesCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:29 pmYeah, but that was a Ferd.
I haven't had those issues with Chubby. My 2014 Z51 was a great car that only had minor complaints by me.... My front and rear bumper alignment wasn't fantastic from the factory, but easily fixed at the dealer. Sluggish head unit for the stereo, but it was miles better than the C6. HD Radio tuner sucked balls so bad they removed it from the following years.
I would buy another 1st year Corvette again, provided it had all the features I cared about, knowing that more features will come in the model years 2 and 3.
It did eat some oil, yes... but not as bad.max225 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:37 pmBut did the Ferd burn 1 quart every 1k milesCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:29 pm

Dealer is investigating now, but looks like it's just sitting waiting for a train car.
Those are super late btw... not being built until aug/sep. Which is crazy LATE by FCA standards they have been selling 2019 Pacificas for 3 months now.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 4:38 pmDealer is investigating now, but looks like it's just sitting waiting for a train car.
Last status change was 03/18 in the Jeep system. He sent me a screenshot of the status and dates.
Who knows when it will get here at this point, maybe with the first load of 2019's.......
But not all of it. You are swilling oil brah.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:54 pmIt did eat some oil, yes... but not as bad.
I'm actually wondering if part of my oil issue is how I drive the 1LE. I tend to keep it high in the RPMs and do a lot of engine breaking.... and sometimes I find myself running around for distances at 5k RPM because of the gearing in the car. I've been averaging 10.4 MPG in the last 2 months.
My service guy (who is a nationally ranked track driver and also won the Optima Challenge) first question was "are you driving it like you're on the track all the time?" Then said that I should expect to burn oil doing that... so maybe there is something to that, but I never saw this in my Dry sump LT/LS motors.

Engine braking is great for oil use......will not help to keep it around at all.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 6:00 pmBut not all of it. You are swilling oil brah.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 7:54 pm
