5/7 feelz to swap them out. Those are still the nicest VW rams on the MK7 platform IMO

Without a doubt. Love the pretoria's. New ramz on both the GTI and GoRf are horrendous.

Res delete + drop in should definitely give me the sound I want.

Open intakes are too loud and closed ones are too expensive. Most closed aftermarket intakes reuse the stock airbox anyway so I figured I'll try the drop in.

Drop in filter will give you a little noise but won't be obnoxious.

It's all you really need anyway.
Yup. Especially with how the Mk7 intake was designed, they essentially just replace the panel filter in the box with a cone filter. Flat drop in panel should be plenty. Don't want to spend $400+ for an intake. It's truly :wasteful:

You're looking at $275 worth of parts according to ECS.

Bleeder block, filter, and res delete should be here next week. The jack stuff from Latvia got here faster than the ECS shipment will take from Ohio.

Quick update on modz.

aFe filter: Now that I have a few hundred miles on it I can say it's a decent mod. You can hear the intake noise a little bit better which is nice and what I wanted. No whooshing noises though like I had with my modshack. Throttle response seems a touch better and it's more noticeable while the car is in Normal or Comfort mode. Solid purchase for $60.

ECS bleeder block: Image

This is a must buy for all :manuel: eggs. That hesitation from 1-2 and 2-3 is totally gone. Effort is the same but it now feels very linear. A++

Res delete: Doing this at a later date with [user not found].

Resonator delete sounds great! Definitely gives the car more character and it's how it should've been from the factory. Just blows my mind how manufacturers can release performance oriented cars with 0 exhaust note. Makes me :rage:

The drop in filter and resonator delete are a perfect match.

Thanks to zilldor for install!

Sort of. I did the complete kit for the Mk7 which replaces a couple underbody panels. Here are the part numbers to order off e-acca or cars245. Right now this whole kit is $264 on ECS. :ludacris:
