That seems to be a solid second place contender though.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 3:21 pm I lose.
I never keep a car long enough to have any significant miles on it.
My 2006 Prius was the last one. Bought with 3-5 miles on it and got rid of it 4 years later at 136k miles. I beat the shit out of it and it was the worst car in the world to drive besides maybe a Nissan from the same era.
Most miles driven on a given vehicle. List em out!

Did you run the Prius to get HOV lane access?CorvetteWaxer wrote:I lose.

Man... you have really moved on up from four years in a purgatory Prius to a new Corvette or Porsche every year (I know you had other cars then too and gas was $$$ so it makes sense). Still... is way better than Prius obviously.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 3:21 pm I lose.

Actually, prior to the Prius I had a 2002 Civic Hybrid I had from 2001. Did like 70k on that in 2 years, enjoying the carpool stickers.
Those were the days when I commuted daily and had to be at work at 8-9 and didn't leave until 6-7 pm and hit all the traffic.

One thing that factors into this is the commuter lanes on my commute are fastrack lanes, so I can use them in whatever vehicle I want if I'm willing to pay the toll as a single rider.

Doing some quick conversions here are my top four high mileage ownership experiences:
Mk4 Jetta 2.0, 125 k miles
MK6 Golf TDi, 95k (buyout cut this one short)
TL, 85k (should have kept this and skipped the mk6 entirely)
MK7 R currently tied with 240sx at 60k.
The R is hopefully staying with me until 125k at least.
Neat thread, its interesting to see common ownership experiences. Maybe it's best to plan for a 100k lifecycle for future purchases

I bought the R32 brand new in April of 2004 with 45 miles on it. It rolled over 141k last week. None of the other things I've had come close. Second place for me is the S2K with 15k miles in ~3.5 years.

Sometimes I question the decisions that led me this duration of ownership. These things happen equally nowadays:
- Walk away from the car looking back and think, "damn, you still got it you fine bitch"
- Walk away from the car in disgust and think, "I'm going to set you on fire and push you over a cliff"
It's a complicated relationship.
Sounds like a typical relationship.stripethree wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 12:01 pmSometimes I question the decisions that led me this duration of ownership. These things happen equally nowadays:
