All northern MI. 3 days at Interlochen state park where the site had a ~100ft path that lead to a private beach on a sandy bottom lake with ~100yards of 3 ft deep water
Then 2 days at Tippy Dam state park which is oddly in the Manistee national forest. That was a 20 minute drive from any form of civilization. We preferred Interlochen, but both were fantastic.
We really weren't ready to come home. #cabininthewoods is becoming an increasingly frequent talking point here.
I really miss camping.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Sure, because what you really want is some old 3rd wheel sitting awkwardly alone by the fire trying not to listen while you and Infamous your brains out inside the pop up.

Nah, we only do that when it's just the two of us. We were with friends this weekend and didn't at all.
Days are spent kayaking, swimming, hiking, smoking (optional, no pressure), and cooking over the fire. 5/7 would recommend.

Parents put money on a trailer. I think it's a Lance, about 18-20' long ish. No clue though they won't tell me exactly what it is
I was looking at Lance slide-ins last night. They look well built from online pics.

I think they have a month before it should come in to their RV dealer. So they have some time to find a tow vehicle. I gave them some ideas, not sure which way they will go.

never heard of Lance. Slide in campers are great if you don't stay in the same place for a while.
I was daydreaming yesterday about a Power Wagon with a slide in camper for overland type adventure. Would be 5/7.

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

Just about finalized plans for a big loop of the southeast US with stops in SC, FL, LA, TX, AK, and TN. Should take about 2.5 weeks, give or take. I figure I'll never get a chance like this again to take an extended trip, so... just gonna hit send.
Some glamping in people's yards, some camping in campgrounds. Taking the MTBs and hoping weather cooperates for some dirt surfing in strange places.
Please post your usual fantastic pics. Can't wait to follow along.
