Corolla is so fucking cheap though... at the end of the day you're sitting in an absolute shitbox
It's not like a Yugo. If I was struggling I'd rock a Corolla SE without thoughts of seppuku.
I do kinda agree with Max though. It is shit inside, sat in one at the it makes my 86 feel like a an M2 inside by comparison. The colors are also terrible. It’s also very small inside, where the Type R/S could be a true family car, Corolla hatch probably can’t fit car seats or four people + four bags.
I’d still maybe get one though, would love to try it out. I think the 86 is better though, no regrets.

And I’m clearly not an interior stroking kind of guy, I had a C5 as my one and only car for seven years.

Yea … 86 is a better sports car … but the rolla is slightly more practical shape. But that practically is completely pointless imo. The main advantage is awd.
I used to have an autotragic in the exact silver as pictured. It was a pretty great car. It felt 'new' at 152k miles compared to my american cars which were falling apart at 100k. Made me realize there is something to that japanese quality game.

It’s kinda tempting for $5k, future classic. But don’t really have time for a project.
I mean Kias are better styled than the comparable Japanese offerings at the cost of reliability and resale. But most of these will be 7-10k in 7-8 years anyways so it doesn't really matter. Pick your poison.

They're also super well equipped for what you pay as well.
And I know this is only a single, undoubtedly data point, but we're 4.5 years into ownershit of our H and it has been 100% flawless so far. Zero repairs needed to date. Nothing has broken or failed. No crazy rattles have developed in the interior yet. All electronic doo dads still work as on day 1. Granted, it's got the simple NA motor which I specifically chose for the -mobile.

In warranty problems are not really an issue for those brands. But the examples of engines blowing up + the entire theft fiasco is just

Mr. and Mrs. Broham data points do not count. You guys always get the factory cars hand assembled by J.D. Power.
I don’t know the price difference, but one of my sisters/BILs have a Telluride for hauling their 4 kids around and they love it. They’ve made a few round trip drives from Columbus, OH to Destin, FL and various parts of Texas with zero issues or complaints.

I would lowkey want this as a daily, although I may regret. This is one of the cleanest e60 I have ever seen and isn't remotely clapped aesthetically
