Sports cars are light, simple, small, and good dance partners. Not necessarily fast in a straight line, but focused more on handling before power.

I'm weighing in on this side of the the sports car definition debate. Historically, sports cars have always been smaller, lower, lighter, (often) 2 seaters, and better handling than other cars, and that extended to pony and muscle cars when they came on the scene. I see no reason to change that distinction now.
