MK6 Window issue

Last night, everything was fine. This morning I realize my driver’s side front window won’t auto-up anymore. It’ll roll up but manually. Down works both ways, other windows not affected at all.

One thing I noticed is that even for :manuel: up is that I have to have the toggle at 100% (as if I am initiating auto-up) instead of 50% with all the other windows and down.

:wtf: :notsure: :derp:

I tried resetting the window limits by holding it for 10s up, 10s down, vice versa, etc. still nothing.

I might disconnect the battery for 30 mins and reconnect it to see if that helps.

Might just be the switch though, since the down works just fine on that window.

:idbu: :wtf: :turboyaris: :plaid: warranty.

my mk7 does this from time time, it won't auto up or down, sometimes on the drivers, sometimes on the passengers. I just live with it. But i'll probably talk to :diller: about it for next service.

Mine did this, it was plastic fatigue in the retainer for the switch. At first i thought the auto up/down was just busted, but I discovered when it broke completely what was up. Not 100% saying this is your issue, but it seems to be common.

buy this.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Chrome-Dri ... 1438.l2649

then you will need to reset your auto up & down too. Easy peasy.

Didn't you lease the car outside of the warranty period, IIRC? :notsure:
Extended warranty covers until “projected end lease mileage” = 60k and I’m at 61,5k

I think you gotta take the door panel off. The lights went out on mine but I decided not to change it.
