I brewed a Doppelbock on Thursday. The open pot has some thick mash from the main mash. I boiled that for fifteen minutes then put it back into the main mash. Traditional German brewing bitches. Unleash the melanoidin.

Beer menus is an app, but equally useful in any desktop browser, that allows you to find particular beers on tap.

First search for brewer and all their beers will show up:

Then pick the beer:

Then all the places with it on tap show up!

Tried this pale ale out this afternoon. Was :notbad: I'd give it a 4/7.
Has some hints of grapefruit in it.

Would drink again.

Mixed reviews on untappd with a lowish average. I can see why, it's definitely a love it or hate it beer. I find it tasty and interesting.

Chum. A special brew made for Sharks fans. Fucking brilliant right? 7.2% of a dry hopped red Ale. I love it. I will admit I give extra for the Sharks Shit, but still a really good beer underneath.

From the bottle... "great times or great whites, this beer attracts them all. With its bloody hie and slightly bitter bite, this dry hopped red Ale packs a rich malt bill thst will leave you circling for more."

I've not had many dry hopped beers. Need to change that. I actually love the way the malts and hops work here. Barely any bitter taste but plenty of malty goodness with the right amount of hops. I think the color is a little light for the flavor and though it is dry hopped for more aroma, I think the aroma is a little weak for want it actually tastes like. Which is weird considering taste is mostly aroma.

Anyhow, 5 out of 5 caps for me. Delish.

I had two (2) ginger beers this evening.

Henry's hard ginger and Samuel Adams Ginger Beer.

Ok... both sucked as ginger beers. Henry's had ginger flavor, but not enough. It made it almost like a malt liquor type beer. Where you have some flavor to cover a shit tasting beer. Would never drink again. Sam Adams was better, but only because if I did not know it was a ginger beer I would not think it was from taste. To me it was like a wit. As a wit, it is just fine and would drink. As a ginger I find it gross and would not drink again.

How bizarre. I have had some amazing gingers and these both disappointed. No pics of them because of the suckiness of them.
