got the 2018. zero regrats. I got the but sometimes wonder if the flappy paddles would be better. I dont want to install a damn clutch in a brand new car for just tuning the damn thing.
The manual experience is pretty good
as for creature comforts yes its everything I could want in a <$40k car.

My thought process was to get he but leave it stock...... figgered I'd have all the Hp and torx of a Stage 2 GTI with AWD and better appointments..... I def don't want to have to go heavier clutch again
Nope. im 100% stock other than wheels and the rez delete pipe. Im happy with it but sometimes I'd like to have about 350hp on tap.Irish wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:15 pmDid you tune it? Which tune? Gainz?dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:34 am

Without really knowing the platform all that well... it seems like A.) 300 hp is plenty and B.) at what point is it too much for a 2.0 motor to handle reliably? I feel like tuning past that point is kind of silly, but I'm sure I'mIrish wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 12:15 pmDid you tune it? Which tune? Gainz?dubshow wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 11:34 am

That said, I'm thinking about tooning the 3 series.

That aligns with my thinking...... ~300hp and about as much torque is plenty for me..... and the AWD to lay it down is quite attractive to me......plus the Argh seems a good step up from the GIt interior wiseD Griff wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 1:38 pmWithout really knowing the platform all that well... it seems like A.) 300 hp is plenty and B.) at what point is it too much for a 2.0 motor to handle reliably?
