Tune problem?
Nope.

I can't fill it with gas. It's spat fuel at me, and it continually shuts off early.

Tried several different gas stations, same result. Diller is giving me the runaround/no-reacharound/no-callback treatment.

I finally said enough today after trying to play phone tag and I stopped in on my way to work. I then asked for a manager, they said he was out for lunch. Instead, my SA walked me into the shop to speak with the master tech who's been working on it, and his best recommendation was to throw a new fuel tank at it. :derp:

I'm no master tech, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express... but I'm pretty sure I'd look at replacing the evap canister or the purge valve before the whole fuel tank.

:|
Warranty breh :aintcare: make them give you a sick Rogue as a loaner.
That does suck though.

Right? But they're almost used at this point. So probably $500 over MSRP :lolol:

If you can get $2k off that's a solid deal.

That whole pricing strategy has me :wtf: who the FK buys the USED CPO models for above MSRP?

This is especially bad on in demand vehicles. Weird arguments are made about how the "warranty is longer" blah blah in a lot of cases it is bullshit anyways, because the warranty is from in SERVICE date and another :derp: already took the car and raped it for a year or two.

BTW the AZNs merc kind of has a wonky fuel thing too, as did my 370Z. No C/E light no care. We have the foreskin nozzle here in cali also that captures the "earth destroying" gasoline fumes, and that tends to make things a lot worse.

Anyways back to my scheduled programming here...

The AZN will check out the 1999 4 Runner for moi tomorrow am. She won't drive it but I just need to her to visually look at it... and see if the seats are ripped and or if it is in the general state of despair most are in.

The Stealerman wants 9000 for it which is insanity frankly. I am going to see if is worthwhile... and if it is... I'll offer up 7k. Which will likely get me laughed out the door, but ain't no fucking way that thing is worth anything more than that. :aintcare:

But this is a rare case of an actual documented timing belt change via carfox+ some other limited maintenance.

However... 143k miles... 1999 $9000?! :wat: KBB retail is $6800

this is true on shitty dealers, but when the old dealer lost my business, i went to a better one where they actually told me that i'm getting a loaner, and i didn't even ask. Whereas in the shitty dealer, i had to ask for loaner, but only one time i got a loaner from that dealer. Only good benefit is that i can atleast walk 1/8 of a mile to the enterprise diller.

:wat:

I can lock the bike in the bed, and not do anything aside from remove the front wheel. Nothing useless about that.

For a 4Runner I'd need a hitch rack. There's no fitting a 29er MTB inside without removing both wheels and the seatpost, and that just fucks up the fit on the bike doing it that way. Once I set my seatpost I don't move it.
Rear seats down, just throw the bike in there. :iono: that's what I would do, no need to remove anything at all.

I'm just getting fed up. I really like the truck, but not being able to fill it up with gas, when it goes through it at a pretty quick rate... is fucking annoying.

I've got a MTB race coming up this weekend that I need the truck for, and a full usable fuel tank for. :|
Borrow @Apex 's roof rack :lolol:

I had a purge valve malfunction code pop up a month ago that I cleared, and nothing happened until recently when it spat fuel at me twice, and took a million clicks to fill the tank.

Tomorrow will be :dillerman: visit number three.
A 4Runner would be rad. I'd even get one with sunroof. :yikes:

There is no such thing. You can't find an old one that isn't ragged to shit and the new ones are 40k+ Tax. And if you think those haven no depreciation... :yeahok:

That bumper on the Limited is :gag:

SR5 Premium gets you heated seats and that's about all that's needed. The Trail has neato wheels but IDK if any of the off road shit is even necessary on these. I'm sure they're supremely capable out of the box in poverty trim.

I do kind of think the sunroof would be worth getting :yikes: rattles and all :yikes: :yikes:
