Should WFM be a title that's passed on annually?

Surely we can start a new one? It's not too late to decide WFM of 2017.

Dig them both honestly, and love they're bringing the Ranger back. They can only make the market better and provide more options when the time comes to upgrade in several years

Legitimately curious, what makes the Ranger better than the Colorado? I've seen a lot of survey data on customer brand preferences and people far and away prefer the Ranger brand. Is it the "legacy"?

The "US" Ranger is just the global market vehicle that's been on sale for years...not so different from the Colorado, really. They're similar age and likely build. There's really nothing here we haven't seen before, yet everyone is :fuckyeah: about the Ranger for some reason.

Yep, competition is a wonderful thing. With more OEM's getting into the segment, the midsize options will get legit :fuckyeah: in 5 to 10 years.

I'm all :fuckyeah: for it because I had 2 as a teenager, have traditionally been more of a "Ford" guy/family, but mainly because of the new Bronco supposedly being on the same platform. The other reason is just because it's gonna make the MS segment more competitive again and push it to be better than it currently is.

With that said, if GM keeps going the direction they're going with their trucks, I'll probably continue to stick with them because my Colorado feels so damn solid still and I love the ride, capability and tech for the price. Yes, the trucks are still too damn expensive, but I feel the value is there in the GM's better than any other brand at this time.

Lastly, with the Bronco making a comeback, my wife loves them for family nostalgia purposes and has expressed interest in one to replace the Rav4 in a few years. So, the better the Ranger does, the more it'll help the Bronco and make it a possibility that I'll have at least one vehicle on the platform in my garage in the next 5-10 years, and I'm very on board with that idea.

New Ranger looks alright. Looks extremely similar to the Colorado IMO. Nothing groundbreaking on it though. The chassis, suspension, etc is all old school. 10 AT and 2.3L Ecoboom sounds..... interesting I guess? IDK how I feel about that. We'll see. Happy there is more competition in the segment.

I like the interior and gauge cluster more than the Colorado :iono:

Belt line is again entirely too tall. Really limits the usefulness of the bed.

I bet Toyota is feeling really fucking stupid sticking to drums on the Taco.

I'm sure they improved a lot. I just feel the Silverado looked better in 2014.

Any pics of the extended cab Ranger back seat?

Looks like the crew cab has those :wasteful: under seat storage "solutions" :gag: that everyone is putting on their midsize trucks.

Gauge cluster doesn't have a tach from what I can tell in these release photos? Guess it doesn't matter when you have 10 gears, unless you're towing when I'm sure it'll show you pertinent info.

Interior really does look nice. Another nice touch, the base model XL and XLT both look good too. And appears there's an HID option as Ford's website has a few pics of halogen headlamps.

XLT? more basic bitch trim

Man that XLT looks a lot like my old F150 did.

I'll be interested in seeing how this truck performs. From pictures it would appear they benchmarked the Colorado instead of the Tacoma for the size and such, but the Tacoma for the trim levels. It's got a lot of trim options. Lariat sport, lariat chrome, XLT, XL, STX, FX4 package, etc.

Interesting, so it is mostly nostalgia.

I'm curious to hear about how it drives. I'm still :notsure: on the 10 speed...seems like its too many gears, but we'll see.

The truck does look nice. Though, I wonder if it'll be neutered at all to keep the F150 sales up. I could see midsize trucks replacing full size in general consumer popularity. They just much easier to live with.
