My 06 Jeep GC with a 5.7 HEMI had a similar setup minus the dual exhaust. It had a big central muffler and then a smaller resonator near the exhaust tip in the traditional muffler location on most cars. Replacing the big center muffler added a lot of noise, but when I deleted the smaller resonator, there was a lot of unwanted drone/bad noise when the cylinder deactivation was active. Luckily, the cylinder deactivation never turned on because it weighed 5300 lbs.

Yep. If I drive in regular Drive instead of Sport mode, the MDS kicks in, and it sounds horrific. Like a terrible 4 cylinder with exhaust. So, as a result, I never drive in regular Drive. Always Sport, and mostly with the flappy paddles.

I will say I miss a traditional auto "stick" to shift gears when in manual mode. Rotary knob looks neat and is "classy" but.... not necessary.

Also, my MPG has gone up as a result of me being in charge of the shifting. NEEK has fun and gets better MPG than the damn computer.

Sounds good... Any drone on the freeway when you end up cruising in a high gear?

Zero. Literally NONE. With just a constant speed you don't even know it has exhaust until you accelerate again. It is :mindblown:

It really is. Outside of it being a little too loud for what I wanted being an old man, it is the perfect exhaust. Exhaust dude nailed it, yet again.

Really cannot wait to get this exhaust finished with tips and small resonators. Exhaust dude said 10-15% quieter with what he wants to toss on there. I think it'll be perfect then.

As soon as he gets the tips and I have a day off. My guess is next week at this point, I go back to work tomorrow.

Also want to paint the calipers. Yes, I am that guy. I think blue would be good for this car. Interior lighting accents are blue - gauges and screen stuff.

Don't. It will be a pain to keep looking nice as it will swirl and be soft. Leave it alone and move on.

Meh.

If you do it, do it right and make sure it looks good. Extra credit if you pay to get then powder coated.

:wat:

I have painted the rear valance piece on several cars. GTI, Charger, G8... It always looks much better than the graying black plastic it comes as. I could find some pics for you showing how much better it looks. Shit, on the GTI I even did those side plastic pieces. I loved how it looked on all cars and it is so easy to do.

Max is not a fan. I like the look of painted/colored calipers. Gives it a little something extra. Red is classic, but blue might be something neato.

I'm too anal about paint. If you like it, knock yourself out man, make yourself happy.

If Max doesn't like it, that's a no go.
