Not really. Power steering pump/hoses, leaking valve covers, shit that should be happening to to 250K mile cars. She doesn't tell me the truth because it drives me fucking crazy and and I want to throw her in the trunk and go to a Toyota dealer but that's not the way it works. I asked her why there was tape goo on her roof. "Because the seal around the door is cracked so when it rains my door fills with water." She's just watching me when she says this to see if my eyes dialate or my head starts actually spinning around.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 5:28 pmI assume electrical? No Dan. There is no defense to accepting a door panel that fills with water without repairing it. There is a procedure called a "car wash" which would also produce similiar negative results.

I obviously don’t know this woman, but from what you’ve said, I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume that she doesn’t wash the car regularly enough for that to be of concern any more than rain is..Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:38 amNo Dan. Look motherfuckers, one single episode of having water sloshing around in your door like its a bathtub is all hands on deck gotta fix this thing right fucking now. There is no planet where her behavior is 1) acceptable or b) normal.SAWCE wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:42 pmI obviously don’t know this woman, but from what you’ve said, I don’t think it’s a stretch to assume that she doesn’t wash the car regularly enough for that to be of concern any more than rain is..Desertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 10:38 am

She continues to taunt me. She wants to go look at a 2013 Nissan Sentra SR, with 63,000 miles on it listed for $11,500.00. Instead of simply biting the bullet on a new Corolla that will run long after she is dead and buried, she wants to buy a plastic Nissan with CVT that will explode in 2 years. That is $500 more than I paid for an Aryan missile that will last to 400K miles and do 150 in the left lane all the way to Maine.

I'm lazy about maintenance now that I don't drive. Haven't washed a car in a few years besides occasionally running a shop vac inside. I gave away a bunch of tools 2 years ago before the move. The car has had a front wheel bearing or axle on the way out for at least a year.

That gen Nissan Sentra is the only rental car my mom has ever returned for being so shitty. My mom, who at the time was driving a 2006 Subaru Legacy, returned a 2018 Nissan Sentra to Enterprise because she hated it.

Yes, adults get to make their own decisions. If we just accepted this premise and shrugged our shoulders, 90% of the content in this forum would vanish.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 9:26 amIts her decision, a bad idea, but if she wants it and wants to make that decision and so be it, then tell her dont come crying to me when shit hits the fanDesertbreh wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:57 pm She continues to taunt me. She is off to test drive the Nissan, which has an asking price of $11,500. She is a faithful follower of the LJC. If he truly existed, he would start an electrical fire in that car before her arrival.
