I need to figure out what I want to do with my suspension come spring time. Coils or shocks/springs?
Going to get bumped in autox if I go with Wilwood brakes so could and/or camber adjustment would be free.
Or I stay with stock brakes and get JCW springs and koni or bilstein shock/strut and stay stock class with a big rear swaybar.
Stock is too squishy when I finally get someone to chase who makes me work.
Unless you're cornerbalancing, I really don't see the point in coils...unless going for mad scene points or whatever.
Nice adjustable shocks with camber plates seem to be the best option 5/7 times.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.

Eh, I went with coils on the R53.
They're nice to have. But not on a car that gets driven through the winter. Fuck that. Will never install coils on a car that sees salt ever fucking again.
@apex I'd go with Bilsteins and H&R springs with camber plates in the front.
Just think of how much dirt hides in those threads!

Thanks [user not found]!
I see Helix has a Bilstein and Eibach combo for $1100... Add in some camber plates and I think I'd be good to go for now.
No way in fucking hell would I consider cheap coils either, so this is the option too.

Well, there's that, but there's also the fact that salt freezes those adjustment jawns solid.
Ah lol yeah that sucks. Better git 'r right before the first winter or else. I doubt spraying an oil coat would do much either because of how much shit will sling up on the damper from everyday driving.

Dammit. A AWD in orange would be an epic all-arounder.

It's my next car. It's going to replace the Silveradoe.
In other news, the Mini is back at the for the clunk. Made the noise three times on the 4 mile drive to the dealer. On a 8 mile drive with a tech, it made the noise very faintly just once.
It's staying overnight and we'all see what happens tomorrow.

I mean it had that ejecto door, cuz.
Who knows what it is.
I should take you for a spin in it next week. It literally sounds like a metal on metal bottoming out kind of noise, and it didn't start until a couple days after they pulled the LF corner apart a couple months ago.
I'd do it. I want 6MT AWD as my next car, so I'm basically golf R, WRX/STI or something like this.
Seeing as I like low car insurance payments, a Countryman would be ideal.
I really was underwhelmed by the Clubman we had as a loaner last week.
[user not found] needs to let us know when they hit the dillers so we can all go test drive them. [user not found], you can do like 6 test drives at once, right?
