Plate frames are
plate frames are
Find me a good plate frame then? $15 tops. Kind of thought a rising sun frame might be cool, then thought I'd probably get my tires slashed by a salty veteran.
Rising sun in front swastika in the back as a heritage look since you used to have hitlers chosen car company vehicles before. What could possibly go wrong
All the Subaru ones are $30. The VW ones I've bought have been $30 too. There are plain black ones on Amazon for $15 and that's still better than a frame.
9 bucket method, pH neutral soap, only dry it with lambs nutsack hair towel that has been washed no less than 4 times, paint meter it, 3 coats of wax and ceramic , and then go drive behind a dump truck pelting rocks at it at 70 MPH.

Sun can damage the paint
Salt can damage the paint
Dirt and dust can damage the paint
Bad washing can damage the paint
Paint can damage the paint
Moral of the story is paint sucks. Delorean had the right idea making cars out of stainless.
I also caved into dealer cilajet bullshit too, so it'll "protect" the car. Pricy, but mistake would not 5/7 again.Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 2:59 pmRain can damage the paint, brahMexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 2:56 pm

You seen the new license plate readers installed on the tops of cop cars? Wonder how much that cost.
I've seen them more in Jersey when I visit but I have spotted them a few places in PA. I feel like I remember reading something about the Jersey ones mailing you a ticket for expired tags like speed cameras. All in the name of safety (revenue)
Those tubes look like they need a coat of Reload.Apex wrote:Johnny_P wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2017 2:59 pm Rain can damage the paint, brah

License plate readers will cross reference expired tags based on DMV database information, not by actually seeing if you have an old sticker on the plate. All cops have access to NCIC and all intra-state DMV so they can see whether your plate is up to date on registration or not.
