Every Maverick I've seen so far as had the steel wheels and it looks good. The red on I saw in LA was my favorite.[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:05 am Real talk, - I really dig the Maverick.

It's a weird trend...people want a small pickup with a ton of interior space, so the beds are all tiny. is the point?[user not found] wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:05 am Real talk, - I really dig the Maverick.

If I buy another pickup, it would be a long bed short cab, but those are pretty much nonexistent anymore. Which makes an SUV more practical! I was when I saw the inside of a 4R with the rear seats folded. Tough to fit tall or dirty things in, but long items are way easier, and that's what I carry more of. I'll rent a uhaul trailer for landscaping stuff.

I'm sick of the American OEMs trying to look cool by creating artificial supply constraints to boost demand. They might have enough orders for a year's worth of production, but that's just dealer orders. I bet you'll still be able to go to a and buy one within 6 mos.

I mean maybe … but look at bronco. They’ve been making it for 6 months. Don’t think you can go and “buy one off the lot” unless you want to pay 20-40k premiumDetroit wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:40 am"sold out"

Yea, but you can still buy one from a dealer.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:42 amI mean maybe … but look at bronco. They’ve been making it for 6 months. Don’t think you can go and “buy one off the lot” unless you want to pay 20-40k premiumDetroit wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:40 am

My point is "sold out" isn't want it sounds like. It only means dealers have ordered enough to fill the production books AND EVEN THEN those aren't fully allocated until a few months before production, so it's really impossible to claim an entire year is "sold out". Since it's mostly dealer orders, anyone can go buy one. Sure, you'll pay a premium probably, but that's on the and Ferd for creating fake demand.
Hell, even if they were "sold out" with all "sold orders" (someone special ordered a unit), that still doesn't mean much since there's little required to place the order and people back out all the time.

Isn't that more a function of the supply chain/chip plus the fact that they fucked up a lot of things in production like the roofs? The Mav isn't really anything new under the sun, so I would assume less issues will occur.max225 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 10:42 amI mean maybe … but look at bronco. Sorta but not really demand is outpacing supply here. There are tons of people who waited well over a year for bronco. As it was open for order in like early 2020
I would expect them to be popular around here, I'm sure they'll start popping up.
One lowered on steelies would be pretty dece.

I still haven't seen a Maverick IRL. Weird.

Yea, it's pretty much all : FJB Trump trucks, , Subarus, and a surprising number of 4Rs now that I pay attention to them. This is not the area to live in if you're an early adopter. Not only do dealers not get new shit due to being deprioritized for our market size, but people just don't seem to want it.
But there's a dude that DDs a first gen R8 down the street from me, and I saw a Ferrari California cruising in the snow on Sunday, so there's here. Also seeing more Defenders, despite the closest dealer being 200 miles away. Still, Ford is HQ in Michigan, I'd expect some Mavericks to make it up here, but not from what I've seen...though I'd need to leave the house to see them so

I can't explain it either. Some old fuck was just cruising around in the snow, I passed him going to opposite direction.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 2:31 pmDetroit wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 1:48 pm
