So my buddy stopped by yesterday … he had his Kia soul stolen back in November. So he ended up buying a Ford Maverick … ordered to spec I should say… I thought it was going to be 25k…. But it was actually about 33k. These are still marked up everywhere unless you wait.

He specifically looked at/wanted the hybrid.

It was a cactus gray xlt model.

+ it was really well made it seems and it has really nice materials inside and out
+ it is a good looking truck
+ he bought the safety tech package which seems decent
+ I peeked inside and he is averaging 50mpg …
+ I liked the exterior size also

- some parts looked cheap still… like the dash
- price creeped to 33k msrp for a pretty small truck
- interior seemed smaller than my Tacoma I don’t care what the numbers show. The back seat is not useable for full size adults
- rear window in his trim doesn’t open, not sure if it does on the other trims

Overall I’d say it’s a great little truck for around town shit. Too bad ford had such major price creep.

I fit absolutely fine in the back seat. It's definitely gotten $3-$4k more expensive than when it was released, but even his spec is significantly cheaper than a middle trim midsize truck.

The lifetime average for this one was also around 45mpg after a year+

I thought these were in the 30s for mpg. My friend drives like an absolute cuck but it seems like others are also getting good mpg :impressive:

I do dig the Maverick, I did also think they were like $25k. I’d probably go poverty spec FWD hybrid to make it a nice scrooge-mobile. They’re all over the place now, I figured maybe the markups were finally over.

You can still get the poverty hybrid for 25-27k

I’ve never been. My the time you fly to Philly, rent a car, drive there… you could just go to Vegas direct. That seems much less depressing if you’re looking to gamble/party.

The bachelors reasoning was he wanted to go somewhere he had never been, and would probably never go again! Win!

And I rented a 7 series off Turo for the weekend for like $200. Drove through all kinds of tolls and the guy never sent me a bill. That was my best Turo experience ever. He dropped it off at the airport too. Right as we got off the plane. It was also brand new. Kind of a boat, but held five guys pretty easily. I pulled up to the casino and lot lizards and meth heads kept offering meth and blowjobs, sometimes at the same time. It was terrible .

One other note, went to some strip club and was walking around and this stripper tried to get me to go in the “vip” room. “This ain’t my first rodeo, I’m not falling for that”. She shows me this back room, it has a bunch of beds lined up and people are fucking back there. I still can’t believe my eyes. I told her I wasn’t trying to do that and she called me a pussy.

This is my AC experience

I am very much anti airbnb, considering the fact that you pay 190$ for cleaning fee and you have to leave spotless. Unless maybe there isn't an accommodation I can find outside for intended destination
It works pretty well for kids but yeah. I’d much rather stay in a hotel.
I can still see a good use as well for having multiple people. Timeshare log cabins work but they work out in the country.

Last time ive been there was 10 years ago. Nothing really wants me to bring me back. Its kind of a dying beach town that attracts breeders who waste their money gambling away when they could've paid for child support

welp, buying the cheapest clean title m4 in 500 miles of swamplandia got me.

I missed a pinched/leaking hydraulic line on the rear driver side. The top worked once, and stalled on me, once home. I found hydraulic fluid sprayed all around driver side. Pulled carpet for a hasty diag and bought a ebay used lineset. Twas the wrong line upon install time. Im now going to pull the line and mail to oregan for upgraded rebuild... $150 plus ship. :thisisfine:

$150 for a hydraulic top fix is :scrooge: af. R129 SL500s top fixes go for like 8-10k. They are the main reason why I never got one as a "cheap collectible"

I have a friend with the 2021 5.3/10 speed Tahoe Premier
I have a 2019 6.2/10 speed Tahoe Premier Plus.

I think the major question in the 2021+ is do you want to go diesel or gas? If you have the garage length I would just get the sub the 2021+ Tahoe is almost as long.
They are nice trucks, but you are gonna pay out.

Was looking at a 2022+ Yukon Denali. The digital gauge cluster is dope.
6.2L because V8.

Yeah 65k for a lightly used one. 20k-30k miles.

Honestly Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade have always been class leading vehicles. Those and the Corvette/Camaro are really the best of GM (and now add the Blackwings to that).

I hope to never be in the market for one as they’re ‘spensive, but probably worth it.

I probs would wait 3-6 months before taking the plunge. They are severely "Overpriced" at the moment IMO. 60k + for a 3 year old rapidly depreciating behemoth is :ludacris: IMO.

Rapidly? Nah. The American Leviathan is in strong demand all the time.
