All the speaker upgayed talk in the BRZ86 thread has be buying stuff for the BEATR. Just bought a D2 S8 (Ronin style) amp, which is plug and play. That'll get me from 80w total to 200w. The tough part is trying to find a 6.5" subwoofer that is designed or optimized for an open air/Infinite baffle mounting that isn't dummy expensive.
Funny, I still haven't purchased anything on that front. I don't know if I will. The stereo in that car sucks but that much. I put 6500 miles on it in the first year, I dunno if that's enough time to bother.
I mean the amp was $100 and the woofers are $70-$100 so I'm definitely not going all out and breaking the bank here.
I tried to get quote to paint my wheels though but the place wanted to powder coat instead and their price was way high. Also not sure how the plastic Corvette center caps will hold up to the heat.

I definitely think it's an improvement over the Mk8 . Just remove the side badges on the door. I think they were fine on the Mk7 - Mk8 because it was all one piece and on the fender. Seeing big GTI letters on the door just looks weird.
GTE trim. Those both use a turbo 1.5-liter four-cylinder paired with a 19.7-kWh battery pack and e-motor, capable of up to 62 miles of all-electric driving range, with an overall range of up to 620 claimed miles in hybrid mode.
This is probably the worst of both worlds... but man a 20kwh battery is massive for such a small hybrid/hatchback. That should deliver 60miles real world for sure.

New infotainment screen looks comically oversized. No doubt it'll be more useful but this should be the definition of tacked on ipad screen.
The separated GTI emblems on the doors look weird.

I think it looks ok Looks like a GTI.
The badges on the door look stupid, and will look especially retarded on a white one. But that's likely easy to remove.
I see they didn't fix the touch sliders.
New steering wheel looks nice.
Yeah it seems ok to me? I wonder if they're going to do a cool color this time. The MK8 got an awesome yellow grapefruit color when it came out.

And yeah even my buddy's sprinter will turn on the heated seats by voice and shit like that. But make sure you specify which seat. He sent me a video of just him in it, asking for the heated seat to be turned on, and the van turned on the empty passenger seat until he corrected it.
