Also that’s a wrangler obviously ... an Elantra would be half of that

Maybe. I haven't had a round trip rental in years.CorvetteWaxer wrote:Our A4 on this trip is costing us $52 a day from Silver Car. I think Troy's problem is he is doing one way rentals. Looks like he isn't returning them to the same place.
So - smooth Bahn, no wind. Stable, fun, intense yet relaxed. You feel as you are part of the car. A good focused driving experience. If you need more sportscar than this you will not be pleased with anything. The refinement is there and yet its raw in a sense that this does not lack an identity as a true sportscar.

I rented a Yaris for $28/day and a Jetta for $34/day. Dat luck is real.troyguitar wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 10:38 amEvery car rental I've done in the US ends up around $100 a day all-in, those rates you forumbros claim to pay are
I agree with everything you said, but I have the 18 way seats and optional full leather interior option.Davestr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 1:12 pmSo - smooth Bahn, no wind. - Superb exhaust sound. Better than I thought it would be actually
-Superb viz all round
-PDK for the win!
-Supportive seats cmfortable in all regimes
-Brakes are almost track quality and bitingly nice
-Nice cockpit layout for driving - nice place to be
I can see why some motoring press reviews say the Carrera is all the 911 you need. Also Fled has tons of experience with these cars and Waxer is now the long term owner. They can add or crush my opinion as they have way more experience. I rent every couple a years like this as I love Porsche. They never disappoint at all. They build, probably the best all around sportscar on the planet - the 911. Hard not to be impressed and want to keep driving it lol
I can see that being utterly true!! Enjoy that machine to the max. Not looking forward to giving this one back lolCorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 12:33 amI agree with everything you said, but I have the 18 way seats and optional full leather interior option.Davestr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 1:12 pm

The car really feels just about perfect to me. The rear axle steering option is very nice and makes high speed turns stable and low speed turns extremely tight.
Only thing I may do in the future is high flow cats and a tune if I decide to ditch the warranty.
My GTS would be a hard act to follow for another car in the future.
Thank you for sharing Dave ! Very informative.Davestr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 1:12 pmSo - smooth Bahn, no wind. Stable, fun, intense yet relaxed. You feel as you are part of the car. I rented a car in New Mexico last summer for the Cayenne launch. It was $75 for three days... from an airport.
I believe you may be misunderstanding. He did not rent a Cayenne, he rented a car FOR the Cayenne event he attended.MexicanYarisTK wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 8:28 pmhonestly, there's no way in hell it couldn't get more than this.fledonfoot wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 8:18 pm

If it gets confirmed to come with that new 7 speed manual and isn't priced to the moon, it may become a top contender as my next vehicle.
