The car has been neglected beyond belief. Just ticked over 200k miles and continues to go strong.

A basic cheap "no frills" American car is a great first car IMO.
New lease in high school? :waxer: Pics of sister?

I agree :doe: . I had a 250k mile Ford Taurus as a first car and it was a solid vehicle and truly hideous. My sister had it before me. It was bought used when I was in kindergarten by my dad.

:lolgasm:

My sister was spoiled as fuck. Brand new lease car. Private catholic high school. Anything she could want whenever. Etc. It's incredible that she still has that car, doe. Dad bought it out at the end of the lease because she loved it so much. He definitely got his money's worth at this point.

I got a rusty old S-10, went to poverty public school and loved it. I am a simple.

I bought my car, a lowly Ford Focus with an accident history
My sister was gifted a car by my grandmother when my grandfather passed. Gram didn't know how to drive and my sis needed a car so that was that. Pristine Toyota Avalon.
My other sister refuses to drive.
My dad gave my brother his 2006? Subaru Outback when bro moved to California.

So I was the only one who actually paid for their vehicle. :csb:

I think all my sisters were bought used cars as graduation presents, but they were also all the valedictorian of their respective classes with scholaships lined up for college. I had the same offer on the table, but I dgaf about school or cars when I was 16. Bummed rides with my dad to my community college for a year on his way to work, then started working and going to school at night and bought a Saturn L300 from a family friend for $4k to get around in.

I have a friend who was in the same grade as me in high school, and in the same nationality. Both her brother and her leased their cars in high school. Her brother delivered pizzas when he got his license, then he leased a 2.5 mk5 rabbit. The sis just happen to won a parking pass for her senior year and she has to have a car on her own. Their family are more humble than mine was, so he had to get a job so she can be able to attain her leased jetta. Now she's on her 3rd jetta lease.

the first car payment I've ever done was my mk6 lmao, when I was 20.
I learned to drive on my cousins 1990 corolla with a manual, had that after I got rid of the paper license, then broke down on me. So my mom handed me down her 2004 tsx, since she didn't need nor drive the car that much. I was pretty much on the entry level of baller. Although there are kids that had brand new lexus's and one kid with the mercedes SL500.

Are the E36s going up in value now? Or why is it priced like an E90 with comparable miles?

That 550i is the Death Star of future repair costs.
The 330i is merely the Star Destroyer of future repair costs.

Going to go look at Hyundai Elantras. Ktxbras.

Would the E90 really be all that bad? Methinks maybe it's only TIE Fighter spec future repair costs? :iono: I really want an E46/E90 for some reason. I'm renting an E90 328i next weekend
