Received my annual self-review worksheet. Meeting scheduled with my boss for March 14th so need to get it done before then. I had a good chat with her yesterday about future goals and stuff. I was told I still have room in my current gig for both learning and pay, so I'm almost thinking I chill here for a bit more and see what comes up. There is one position that will be opening up that I could apply for, but I'm not sure if I want to go for it. Being good at too many things sucks; I have no direction on which way I want to go.
All raises go into effect on April 1st.
Nice man! Good luck.

I'm a fucking failure.
Ah yes, the sedan version of the coupe version of the 3 series sedan. Which juan doe? 440xi xdrive40i Msport with sprinkles?
You asked which mid-sized sedan I'd take.
I answered.
I'm so tired of being grilled on my preferences.
1) I didn't ask it
2) IDGAF about your preferences and wasn't trying to grill you on them, I was making fun of BMW's naming convention and overlapping products.
Yeah. I wouldn't seek out a tan interior car but if the right one came by and it had tan.... I could probably It's not bad in person, aside from the blinding windshield problem I guess but I haven't experienced that.
Love Boxsters. They depreciate hard though with seemingly no floor to their price. This one looks like it would be fun. All I'd do is a dual outlet exhaust tip, I think the single outlet looks too much like a butthole.

Ugh, power is out at the office again.
This seems to be a common occurrence for your building?
Yea it isn't exactly uncommon. The infrastructure in this town is so we pay the price with rickety electric supply, occasional flooding, horrible pot holed streets, etc. They did build a pretty big retention pond at the end of the street and replaced the 24" storm sewers with 60" ones so the flooding issue may be solved
Glad I don't live in this town.
Where are these mangos?

They filled in the cave-in on my street yesterday. With cold patch.

Maybe you should take the power company out to lunch?

I worked from home yesterday, so I didn't get to see my boss, but she just came up to me and was like "I spoke to [CTO] and he is going to speak to [CEO]. I didn't forget about you, just wanted to let you know."

Think this means they'll give me the 10k my boss said I'd get, especially since the CTO is going to bring it up again?

No. Don’t overthink it, and lower your expectations dramatically to avoid disappointment. Better to expect $5k and get 10 than expect 10k and get 5

DFD. The forum where everybody makes the same choices and then tells anybody trying to join the club that they are the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk the earth.

He deserves it
What with all the time on reddit and trading crangcoin and complaining about other people not doing their jobs?
Even $10k is a rip.

My guess would be that Chris took some time off because he has read the dialogue on this page 1,345 times and decided to spend some of his free time doing something besides beating a horse to death.
