The Summit's look too plain TBH. The Corbeaus look dope. Are they more $ than the Sparcos? I'd have expected the latter to be more expensive.

Edit: Googled. Sparcos < Corbeaus. Mildly surprised. I'd probably still get the Corbeaus if it were me.

Yea, I'd probably do a Recaro Specialist or Expert in there if not just a stock e30 sport seat. I like them. :iono:

I have always liked the 80s recarbros, but those Porsche seats look like they'd fit a :melon: better and are local-ish. :doit:

Stock sport seats don't get low enough, and a good driver's seat is $600+

Looking for something more economical, and that I can bolt to the floor with a floor mount adapter

:word: good find, I'm busy at work, but will look into seeing if they fit.

For oem P-car seats, it would be worth it.

You'd have to airboat engineer the best way to mount the driver's seat low, but it wouldn't take much time or money to figure out and I think would look good in the car. OEM Porsche structure with Recarbro cloth should be a lot higher quality than the Chinese crap too. I like my ebay seats, but I only weigh 140 lbs and they're still not totally solid with me in them. I wouldn't put bigger people in them and expect them to last or even be particularly safe (not that an old tin can is safe anyway).

I'm going to buy a floor mount kit from Eric, other that that, the rails needs to bolt into it, or it will be too tall.

Congrats! E30s are NOT overrated. I had a 87 325is. Bought it with 170k miles, sold it with 230k miles. Nothing broke. Nothing. Brake pads tires and fluids. I've had a lot of cars, and that was a top 5, without a doubt.

I've posted this before (in the old DFD), but I'll repost. I did a build for a nice young guy, who's money-to-sense balance was, uhh, askew. He wanted one of everything. I don't judge, I do as asked. Here's a couple of shots.

E30 Wagon
RHD
Air Lift system hidden in spare well, false bottom made from salvaged 120-year-old flooring. Air tank wrapped in vintage fire extinguisher.
Motor rebuilt
A bunch of other doo dads and tomfoolery

I remember that fire extinguisher pic from DFD 1.0. :fullretard: but kind of cool, too. Nice work.

What color is that, I love it.
I love me some blues, but if I did a full respray, I'd consider the dark silver, it looks so good on these cars.

Thought we were discussing e30's in this thread? The worst color on the C5 might be the best on the e30.

Might I suggest professional installation? History has not shown the steering wheel to be your best DIY choice.
