Somehow I managed to complete the offroad trifecta at work today...

Image

Not sure who owns a new JK, let alone a new RAPTOR at my company, but I want to make friends with them.

I respect what it is, but it's just way too massive. I LOVE the size of my truck.

I'm really curious to see the Ranger Raptor here.

:jeep: is so :jalepenis: compared to the :truk: :truk:
The picture makes it look like that, but it's really all about perspective. The Wrangler feels much closer in size to the Colorado when you're standing next to them.

Colorado is like almost 4 feet longer, same as going from a golf to a chrysler 300.

C&D has a Raptor long term

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/20 ... est-review
...It is also, by a wide margin, the most popular vehicle in our long-term fleet. And that’s a fleet that currently includes a Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, a Ford Shelby GT350, and a Porsche 718 Boxster S. Drawing weekend reservations months in advance, the big Ford is in as much demand as a $40 per night VRBO on Monaco’s Mirabeau corner.
...
It’s a machine that perfectly aligns your wants: “I might be middle-aged, but I still indulge the occasional airborne railroad crossing,” with your needs: “I have two dorky kids and a ton of crap to haul around.” On and on, it is the embodiment of outrageous—massive, coarse, rapid, and capable of eating curbs at freeway speeds. It is to subtlety what Charlie Sheen is to decorum. Yet, as an everyday vehicle, it’s also feature rich, stunningly comfortable, and remarkably easy to live with. The big goofball is perfectly happy to cruise the expressway in quiet, frost-heave pooh-poohing ease.
...
Thus far, about 5000 miles in, we’ve discovered only three faults: Ten is too many gears. It’s too wide for at least one local car wash. At full throttle, it honks like a Pontiac Sunbird in the Holland Tunnel.

But, good Lord, nothing has ever cared less about potholes.

Months in Fleet: 2 months Current Mileage: 5113 miles
Average Fuel Economy: 14 mpg

Even if it :triggered: s you, you have to admit that its kinda funny that you bought a truck and still had to get a roof rack like device anyway, right?

While I guess the irony is funny, I honestly think it's better. I already had the roof rack from my various cars, so I just had to get the side rails for the bed to accommodate.

The roof rack type device is way more useful on a truck bed than a car roof. It's easier to access to load things on and off. It gives me a ton of space underneath to store stuff so I can take WAY more in my truck than any SUV/car...which is handy for all the camping we do. All the camping gear can fill the bed with the bikes ZFG on top...and the inside of the truck is still completely open for us and :doge:
