Absolutely.NEEK wrote:Hate when that happens. Snobbery at its finest.Calvinball wrote:
It's a shame, I have some very good beers from a local brewery on hand, also IPAs. Had one last night after having one of the Treehouse beers and it just seemed pedestrian in comparison lol.

I'm all for going at some other time. But "you wouldn't get to see your sister then, and we wouldn't be together for the holidays!" says Mom.D Griff wrote:Johnny_P wrote:I don't feel like going to my parents' house for Christmas. I hate holiday travel. Spend 3x as much on plane tickets to go someplace so you can all be together on that one special day. Fight tons of traffic, huge lines at the airport, etc, etc. Flight delays because Berta couldn't get all 50 presents out of the overhead bin fast enough. Chaos at the airports. Screaming kids on the plane. Weather delays.
$950 to fly 2 people to Birmingham and back.
Just go later in January when you start tiring of the cold. OR, fly to CLT for 1/2 the price and drive to B-Ham, we could
That's like a five hour drive though.

The older I get the easier it is for me to be hungover. I usually drink enough water to prevent that.... but fucked up big time Saturday night. Forgot to hydrate.Detroit wrote:NEEK wrote: I was so hungover yesterday. I puked.

As we age we produce less of the enzyme that metabolizes booze.NEEK wrote:The older I get the easier it is for me to be hungover. I usually drink enough water to prevent that.... but fucked up big time Saturday night. Forgot to hydrate.Detroit wrote:

I like Southwest. Flying solo with them is great. Everyone takes the aisle and window seats. So I plop down in the middle seat towards the front of the plane nfg. Even if you check in late.NEEK wrote:I have never had a problem. Plus, free peanuts.D Griff wrote:Southwest is
Granted I have only ever flown them from SD to Sac.
Flying with another person can be a bit more difficult to get a seat together if you didn't check in early.
My favorite part is all the seats are the same price. American, Delta, US, etc all love to have those "premium" or "extra comfort coach" seats which make you pay an added $5-15 per seat per plane to sit in them. Sometimes you go to book the flight only to find out the did the 'ol bait and switch on you and you're forced into paying $80 more just to fucking sit, or scrap the plans and start over with another airline. I fucking HATE that shit. Its BS and its avoided with Southwest.
