Somebody asked for a pic of the ramz in the living room, wish granted.
Yes on the wheel size. That's what our neighborhood looks like my dude. We were not in a flood area and both us and our neighbors all spend $$$$ on landscaping/gardening.
My brother needs to leave the poor desert. Ramz fit nicccce. Almost ready for a now I'm sure.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 10:13 amYes on the wheel size. The car has plenty of power for me. It has also been dead reliable for 6.5 years and I don't need to go poking sleeping bears.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 11:16 amMy brother needs to leave the poor desert. Ramz fit nicccce. My wife still drives this car from time to time. She would smash the splitter into a parking stop immediately and then ask me why this mod was needed, a question for which I no longer have answer at age 54.
I’d probably separate the 2 extra fronts in another ad … it’s confusing otherwise

I wonder if this is how my S4 works?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:52 pm I had always thought the inserts in the front bumper cover pictured above were to cover up the nonexistent headlight washer option. After pulling the bumper I realized they were doors, and the SB does have a headlight washer system that automatically pops out of the doors. When, you ask? When the headlights are on, and you have pushed the windshield washer switch FIVE TIMES. The automatic counter resets when the car is turned off. Not sure I have ever operated the washer five times with the lights on. Such optioned car, very wow.
I haven't really seen an LED aftermarket kit that comes close to OEM stuff. Yours are projectors though, right?CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 7:27 pmI wonder if this is how my S4 works?Desertbreh wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:52 pm I had always thought the inserts in the front bumper cover pictured above were to cover up the nonexistent headlight washer option. Also jealous of the HIDs. I have what are considered the best LEDs available on my Corvette now, but the light fill just isn't as good as HIDs, but RadioFlyer/SLI doesn't offer HID kits anymore.
Morimoto Bi-LED projectors. Probably the best available on the aftermarket.

Your thoughts on a no garage guy who doesn't really like wrenching but has decent tools doing the ZF fluid change? I need to on the , debating just paying the if they will even take on the job.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:25 pm 48,750 Mile BMW Service on 440i:
1. ZF Transmission Serviced with ZF Fluid, new pan and filter. "Lifetime fill" was looking dark, if not filthy. ZF Fluid is amber, not red. This is a fking messy job, even with two guys unless you have some sort of $$$$ shop machine.
2. Brake Fluid flushed.
3. Coolant Flushed.
4. New plugs and coils. No plastic tabs broken on connectors to coils.
5. New Plastic Cowl piece installed along lower winshield, original was missing a few chunks.
$900 in parts, $500 and steak dinner to my ex brother in law.
Should be good for a while, other than some some new front brake pads and oil changes.
Can't complain about this car in seven years of service.
Can't really do it without a lift it would make a fking mess. First you have to pull the drain plug, easy enough, but then you have to remove the pan without getting warm tranny fluid all over your face and clothes, impossible lying on the ground. Then, without the aforementioned machine, AND WHILE THE TRANSMISSION is at the proper temperature, not too hot or cold, you pump fluid out of like 7 ZF bottles into the filler hole until it overflows, which is a two man job, one guy is pumping fluid into the filler hole while losing a considerable amount in the drain pan, the other guy is running the bottles. Then you have to retorque the pan in the proper sequence, after figuring out whether they gave you steel bolts or aluminum stretch bolts. (Steel in our case). The transmission temp was monitored by diagnostic equipment. My ex bro in law put a magnet on the bolts to determine steel. All the torque specs are on his computer. He has small Snap-On torque wrenches ( and big ones) that do the job right.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:39 pmYour thoughts on a no garage guy who doesn't really like wrenching but has decent tools doing the ZF fluid change? I need to flush coolant, brakes, and change diff fluid as well but those are easy peasy at the crib.
