Single player open-ended games are boring to me, thought I'd give this one a chance since everybody raved about it... was still boring.[user not found] wrote:Porquetroyguitar wrote:I bought that game and played it twice.

Spoiler alert. Didn't know there was a boss dragon. Guess it makes sense though.

You don't know who Olivia Wilde is?dubshow wrote:who dat is?Punchagoat wrote:

If you only played the main story, you missed out on probably 90% of the game!
I completed everything on my 360 version. I haven't bought the remastered yet, but I'm hoping one of my siblings got it for me for Christmas. If not, I'll wait for it to go on sale again (was $25 on BF) since I have a few other games to keep me busy for a while, such as Dishonored and Witcher 3 (both BF purchases) and some CoD when I feel like playing a FPS.

I bought it a while back but have only put like 4 hours into the game due to lack of time. I'll have to pick it back up again after I finish Witcher 3. Should only take me another year.

Open world games like Skyrim are all about the side quests.Jaxper wrote:You don't know who Olivia Wilde is?dubshow wrote:

Precisely. So I'll definitely be busy with Witcher 3 until I get it, nonetheless.Punchagoat wrote:Open world games like Skyrim are all about the side quests.Jaxper wrote: You don't know who Olivia Wilde is?

Both those games are on my radar, and I too tend to average beating a game a year.lagunasecaballs wrote:I bought it a while back but have only put like 4 hours into the game due to lack of time. I'll have to pick it back up again after I finish Witcher 3. Should only take me another year.
Haven't played it in a few years. I used to get as many as 4 followers (one being the dog) and then punch a guard and watch madness ensue while I turned myself invisible. The trick is to find a follower that can't die. Cicero was great.

I played Skyrim on the 360 for like 100 hours and finished about 4 story quests. It was a game I reeeeally wanted to like but I found the combat clunky and the stealth to be about as unrealistically basic as it gets.
I like playing a thief or assassin but Skyrim's stealth mechanic wasn't fun at all to me. The graphics were cool but I couldn't get over the very empty feeling of the world. I bought the HD release on XB1 and it's no better.
For those of you who love Skyrim you have to try Witcher 3.

I find myself leaning towards the anti-stealth approach.Sanchez wrote:I played Skyrim on the 360 for like 100 hours and finished about 4 story quests. It was a game I reeeeally wanted to like but I found the combat clunky and the stealth to be about as unrealistically basic as it gets.

I enjoy a good smashing, but I also like to chip away before the distance is closed with balls of fire and such.
If it takes you 25 hours to complete a quest I can see why you feel the way you do about the game. Maybe it's because I put so much time into Oblivion that allowed me to go into the game with the mindset to manipulate the game to entertain me, rather than just go through it, but I really enjoyed. Played it on a gaming PC with graphics maxed out to waaaaay more than a 360 can do and, frankly, I couldn't imagine playing the game on a console.Sanchez wrote:I played Skyrim on the 360 for like 100 hours and finished about 4 story quests. I own it for the 360 I think, just never put more than a few hours into it. If I can get a decent gaming computer built next year, I might pick up the HD remaster that just came out and give it another shot, as I've heard the game is much more fun to play when you have the ability to mod it.
