So I can’t help but laugh at some of these “mods” that are available for this car and I came across this one.

$900 carbon fiber brake duct shields. Who in the fuck is dropping nearly a grand on carbon fiber dust shields? And if you actually track the car, aren’t you supposed to remove the dust shields anyway?

I’ll never understand “tracking” any street car. It’s one of the dumbest things ever sold to every dude ever.

I will also never understand modding a factory modded car thinking you know better than a company that spent billions developing it.

What a heinous way to spend money

I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. I’m struggling to come up with a more useless unseen part that could be made of carbon fiber.

How about this too. $175 for a screen protector.

These are totally normal. I’m sure other manufacturers use them too. I just can’t think of them.

I am having newfound respect for manufacturers who spend the money to simply put a waxable single piston fixed caliper brake in the back.

At the because I’ve got a screw in the left rear tire. The continentals are not BMW approved so they don’t stock them which means they’re ordering from Tire Rack but I have to pay the shipping cost which is like $30ish. It’s plugged for now but once they receive it I’ll go back for them to mount it. Wheel and tire package already in use at 350 miles.

Genius is also here and programmed my laser lights.

Meanwhile in the showroom I see this “special edition” 3 series with all the carbon bits. $80k for a 3 series. What is this world coming to?

Here it is. There was a note on the windshield saying it comes with the OE wheels and tires so I’m guessing one of the packages is the wheel change. Maybe the lip spoiler and kidney grilles are another since they were both carbon fiber.

$80k and it doesn’t even have leather. It’s got the red sensatec.

It does look great at least! But on the price, I can’t imagine doing that and not just going M3.
