Whenever I see a non tinted golf/gti/r I always think man that thing is a mint well maintained machine piloted by a 40+ year old adult who never skipped maintenance ….

Reminds me of a funny story from last night. We’ve had our annual in person team meeting at the office this week, last night was a group bowling outing. We’re leaving and me and a work friend had parked together. He was driving his 1993 Acura Legend, it’s red, six speed, clean, pretty sweet ride. Some high school kids in a slammed/clapped out G37 saw us and drove over and went batshit for our cars, especially his. Don’t even know how they knew what it was.
Well, a few minutes later, they wind up next to me at a light and roll down their windows trying to get me to race. I was like this thing is slow as balls boys, plus I’ve had three beers so nah. They were quite shocked the 86 is slow.
Also, this was the first time many of my coworkers had seen the 86, kind of amazing that no one, even car people, know what this car is and many think it’s fairly expensive/exotic.
