I like those, but I think I'd save a few G's and look for a CLK550

Fair point but a lot of that price Delta is 20K miles vs. 106K.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 2:54 pmI like those, but I think I'd save a few G's and look for a CLK550

Interesting ride . I’m ok with these and they tend to have geriatric first owners that only service at dealers

Very true. Yeah definitely get a JRG/beige one just to keep around. And that price you can't afford NOT to.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 2:59 pmFair point but a lot of that price Delta is 20K miles vs. 106K.CaleDeRoo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 07, 2021 2:54 pm

Oh hell yeah brother. These engines and trans were also super stout. The color combo on this is fantastic too.Desertbreh wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 4:48 pm https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sal ... pe=listing

I mean it has a warranty
Even a 16 year old Toyota will need stuff often.

Well, I've decided to hold off on selling the GTI for now. What precipitated the whole move was my wife returning to the office more or less full time starting Sep 1, but with the delta variant and all of the case numbers heading entirely the wrong direction, her and my return-to-work plans are now put on hold indefinitely. If neither one of us is going to the office, there's zero reason to have a second car for kid-ferrying duties. Thanks covid?

the cuck to GTI ratio is still in the green on this forumcoogles wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 8:33 am Well, I've decided to hold off on selling the GTI for now. We'll see how long I can hold off. But I think even when I do at some point, a 3-row would be a better option in terms of longevity. A 2019-2020 MDX A-Spec has moved quickly to the top of the list. It won't fit in the garage, but that just leaves a spot open for the weekend car at some point, and it would be way better to drive than either the 4R or the Outback.

I think an Outback would be terrible. We spend 100% of our time driving INSIDE the car and interacting with the the car from that standpoint. Shit that keeps an eye on my eye, overly protective nannies and then sub menus and minimal physical buttons makes me want to run into traffic just at the thought of it.
