Yeah. Buddy has his head in the sand.Calvinball wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:40 pmOh yeah, that’s way more common with IVF.SAWCE wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 5:09 pm Buddy of mine and his wife just found out they’re having twins. They had to do IVF, and apparently none of the doctors ever mentioned that the chance of multiples is increased doing that so they were pretty shocked to hear two heartbeats in the appointment the other day.

Yeah I feel like that’s something everybody kinda knows, but still, you’d think at some point during the many many doctors visits and consultations that a professional would have mentioned it to them..
He’s excited for it though. Plus they planned on two kids and were expecting to have to pay for IVF a second time, so there’s like $10k saved by knocking them both out at once

It'll take longer than that, but it'll be in fits and starts if your son is anything like mine. He goes from thinking his baby sisters are the greatest thing ever, to completely ignoring them, to hating them because they're getting attention than he is within the span of 5 minutes. Generally, though, he's super helpful trying to give them a pacifier or shushing them or just wanting to play with them. It's really cute. But he does have his jealous moments still, even going on 7 months later.Calvinball wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 10:59 amHow’s the son doing at this point? We’re still only a few days in as a family of five, my son took a day or so to warm up to the new addition.

He hasn’t shown any jealousy yet, but he definitely has not shown that he is understanding he needs to move more slowly and carefully when he’s near the baby.coogles wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:23 pmIt'll take longer than that, but it'll be in fits and starts if your son is anything like mine. Don't worry if he does, it's totally normal. You do definitely need to watch him around the baby, but you know that. Our son definitely doesn't always understand how gentle he needs to be with the babies.Calvinball wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:47 am He hasn’t shown any jealousy yet, but he definitely has not shown that he is understanding he needs to move more slowly and carefully when he’s near the baby.

Definitely different than when we brought him home and Audrey was about the same age he is now. She was really good at being careful/gentle.coogles wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:51 amDon't worry if he does, it's totally normal. My (second) son was born this afternoon! Mom and baby are doing good. She was scheduled to be induced tomorrow, he was going to be Jason if he was born on Friday the 13th, but coming today we went with Austin.
