One of the reasons I replaced all the grounds in the Corvette when refreshing it was that batteries seem to not last too long and it cranks over slow when it's been sitting... but it's been this way for probably a year and always still goes, so the in me is

I bought my C5 with a Walmart battery (ever start maxx) in it. I couldn't believe the abuse that thing stood up to. Was 7 years old when I replaced it, and I deep cycled it multiple times...cranking got slow, but it kept going.

I got the Duralast Gold for the dude said not to bother spending the extra $50 or whatever for the Platinum version, but if I decided I want to that I can go to an autozone and trade for one of those and just pay the difference

Hopefully my NAPA sensor does well. If I ever get it in.D Griff wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 12:15 pmJust one time replacing a shock or something more than needed makes it easily worth the premium. In some cases OEM is shit (looking at you, GM) though, so research is required to find better stuff.
I feel like in the past I've probably cheaped out on batteries - mostly just due to them dying when they die and Advance Auto or whatever always being close and easy. I should probably just go buy a nice battery for the Corvette as it's been turning over slow for a while now if it sits for more than a few days, which is often as I never drive.

What's stupid is the truck was engineered I'm Auburn Hills and is built in Warren. There's zero connection to Detroit with that truck.CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 6:13 pmMap of Detroit on the roof... I guess its true that you can take the car out of the 'hood, but you can't take the 'hood out of the car.
Where's the $500 option to remove that?
This is the reveal that I think will really The beginning of the end.

Escalade and Navigator sell surprisingly well. Bigger is better, even if you don't use the space. Duh.

20-30k units a year seems like a shitty market to chase. But more is better indeed, would be great to see the imperial name to come back. Those cars were better than Cadillac and Lincoln at a time when Cadillac and Lincoln were world standards.

That's just the high end. There's a range planned to go after mainstream as well. Nope. But the branding strategy makes no sense to me. I don't work on the product, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Right?! It's so unimaginative. The first Grand Wagoneer in 1963 was in the market. Nobody had ever made a 4x4 SUV with luxury features in it (power steering, brakes, and windows standard, etc) to that point.
This is just copying others with a brand not many people care about anymore.

I was very disappointed when I saw this late last night, and even more so this morning, and all I've looked at so far is the exterior. The back glass/windows and the grill just kill it for me and I'm no even remotely interested in learning anything more about it at this point. They swung and missed, hard, on this.Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 11:37 amRight?! It's so unimaginative. The first Grand Wagoneer in 1963 was in the market. BUT
There's another 3-row coming that I think will be more appealing.

Another 3-row? Is it gonna be more Durango sized or be the size of the GW?Detroit wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 11:53 amAgreed.Devilchrono wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 11:51 am

GW is body on frame and meant for towing and ultimate fancy. on the market for it, but margins are strong on that sort of vehicle, sooooDevilchrono wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 12:09 pmAnother 3-row? Is it gonna be more Durango sized or be the size of the GW?
There's room for a more Durango sized unibody 3-row. That segment has exploded recently with the Teluride and redesigns of the Explorer and Highlander.
