Whoa. That sounds cool. I wonder how stupid it would be to use on our wooden deck. In for results, particularly if it throws off heat and keeps bugs away.

I like how it channels the flames up and looks like it blocks most of the wind. In4reviews.
My sister and her family actually own this and love it. There is definitely still smoke, but it's certainly lessened.

They gave us their old poverty-spec one :doe: , so I am content with that for now.

We just dug a hole in the ground and lined it with rocks I dug out of the back yard.

Free.99 and it works great.

I can't speak to the bugs just yet, but once this thing is lit it rolls and it really does have barely any smoke.
throwing off tons of heat.
I will report back on it whether or not it burns the deck of the rental

Yeah that's how ours would be set up. We just have a small deck, maybe 8x12 feet, right off of the kitchen so the fire would be at least that close to the building in addition to being on a wooden deck. :doomed:

In theory we could set it up in the back yard but that would be so much less convenient than the deck and mean that the doorway to inside, and thus inside itself with people coming and going, would end up full of bugs.

OK, pit itself gets hot AF, but the deck spacer ring was cool to the touch. Did not damage deck and the pit got HOT.

Overall, 5/7 purchase. Yes its a lot of money for a daym fire pit, but it works great and puts off ton of heat. It's a premium product and the price reflects that. Would buy again.

The feel good ending we all wanted.

I firmly believe in buying the nicer shit, and getting exactly what you want the first time.

But then you can’t bitch on the internet about how the cheaper version isn’t perfect.

Hey I've been debating on doing this particular one for a while, but i already have a cheap fire pit. I think this one is 9/10. Some people get really creative but this one looks like a bread and butter brick firepit diy.

Our plan is to do this eventually. Some friends of ours built one of these as a kit from Menard's, and it turned out 5/7

It looks like a fun project. Ive entertained the idea of T-ing into the gas line and running that underground with fire glass pebbles, but when we moved in there was a giant pile of firewood already there. :scrooge: Sorry 'bout the smoke, neighbor.
