A3 can be tuned to put out good power.maxtdi wrote:So I think I need to figure out if could also make an A3 2.0t or a s3 work... they'd have to be used doe... which means epic waste of money in 2-3 years ...
S3 is nice, but gotta have sport seats.

Something to think about ...Johnny_P wrote:Yeah but probably not for another year. And I'd expect a carryover engine regardless.maxtdi wrote:
The little things remind you of the econo roots, is there a next gen wrx coming ?
Apparently the new Impreza is a huge leap from the current one.
My girlfriend back in college had a manual impreza gt - they are nice - just very rattley/squeaker after a while. they are just very utilitarian.Johnny_P wrote:I thought interior was actually pretty good. Everything you touch is solid and feels like it was made well. Dash and door pockets are hard plastic but who gives a shit about that?Hansgustaf wrote:
WRX is a cool car - personally I am not into the big wing plus interior fit and finish is only meh..
I guess I am prolly comin in late to this -maxtdi wrote:Something to think about ...Johnny_P wrote: Yeah but probably not for another year. And I'd expect a carryover engine regardless.

I'm mostly surprised by how much I actually liked the looks of the wrx in person. It is a legit good looking car
I no care about seats. The base S3 seats are good same goes for A3. Sure sport is nice but meh, I'd rather get eh car in a good color over the seats.Hansgustaf wrote:A3 can be tuned to put out good power.maxtdi wrote:So I think I need to figure out if could also make an A3 2.0t or a s3 work... they'd have to be used doe... which means epic waste of money in 2-3 years ...

The new 18" 5 spoke wheels really help. It does look good in person.maxtdi wrote:Something to think about ...Johnny_P wrote: Yeah but probably not for another year. And I'd expect a carryover engine regardless.

I'm also not sure I'd tune or mod, those days are behind me.
And when can you come in for a test drive?Hansgustaf wrote:I guess I am prolly comin in late to this -maxtdi wrote: Something to think about ...

what are your conditions/must haves?
AWD?
MANUAL?
I don't know it's semi evolving. At first it was get the cheapest thing possible which is where the volt came in. Now I'm kind of thinking I want it to be fun too.Hansgustaf wrote:I guess I am prolly comin in late to this -maxtdi wrote: Something to think about ...

Auto/manual depends on platform, I don't really care.
I really like the mk7 gti and R
I also like the wrx
I really like the cla with AMG bits
A3 is a great car also

Yep dem! And they have a golf r in stock in blueHansgustaf wrote:dem dirito bros ?maxtdi wrote: I wasn't allowed to drive a mk7 R
I would probably not get manuel in GTI if I were to do it again. It's too mushy, no clutch feelz, no engine braking, rev hang.... meh. DSG is probably the better of the two transmissions honestly.maxtdi wrote:Yep dem! And they have a golf r in stock in blueHansgustaf wrote:

However I don't know, the dsgay in the gti was flipping perfect, not sure if Manuel is the way to go
Agreed. Definitely not.maxtdi wrote:I'll try another VW diller first, the r isn't that rrrrare[user not found] wrote:

Right except the current gti has so much power it can't really put it downGberg2119 wrote:The 7R drives exactly as you think it would. Like a GTI with a bit more power. DCC can compensate for the ride quality on 19 inch wheels.
