A3 can be tuned to put out good power.

S3 is nice, but gotta have sport seats.

Yeah but probably not for another year. And I'd expect a carryover engine regardless.

Apparently the new Impreza is a huge leap from the current one. :iono:
Something to think about ...

I'm mostly surprised by how much I actually liked the looks of the wrx in person. It is a legit good looking car

I thought interior was actually pretty good. Everything you touch is solid and feels like it was made well. Dash and door pockets are hard plastic but who gives a shit about that?
My girlfriend back in college had a manual impreza gt - they are nice - just very rattley/squeaker after a while. they are just very utilitarian.

I no care about seats. The base S3 seats are good same goes for A3. Sure sport is nice but meh, I'd rather get eh car in a good color over the seats.

I'm also not sure I'd tune or mod, those days are behind me.

The new 18" 5 spoke wheels really help. It does look good in person.

I don't know it's semi evolving. At first it was get the cheapest thing possible which is where the volt came in. Now I'm kind of thinking I want it to be fun too.
Auto/manual depends on platform, I don't really care.
I really like the mk7 gti and R
I also like the wrx
I really like the cla with AMG bits
A3 is a great car also

I would probably not get manuel in GTI if I were to do it again. It's too mushy, no clutch feelz, no engine braking, rev hang.... meh. DSG is probably the better of the two transmissions honestly.

Not sure if this has been posted but here's the long term wrap test verdict from C&D. They loved it.

The 7R drives exactly as you think it would. Like a GTI with a bit more power. DCC can compensate for the ride quality on 19 inch wheels.

Right except the current gti has so much power it can't really put it down
