For a bourbon and it being 120 proof, the Knob is pretty smooth. I'm more of a scotch guy unless mixed, then rye is the ticket.Detroit wrote:Tarspin wrote:Cool.

Supposedly they'll have the entire range, and given my experience with this shop, they're not shy about marking up hard to find stuff. Standard Pappy starts at around $100. 23yr, if they have it, upwards of $500+
Limit 1 bottle per. Not sure if that's 1 bottle per variant or 1 bottle period.

It has a cool factor for sure, but it's not THAT much better than other stuff. W.L. Weller, another wheated bourbon from Buffalo Trace, is supposedly rejected Pappy that I'd argue most people couldn't tell the difference between that and Pappy.[user not found] wrote:Interesting. I'd def but a bottle of any of the Pappy at msrp but I'm not one of these people that will go online and pay several times over. I'm sure it's great but it can't be that great.4zilch wrote:

How much is the W.L. Weller? Wheated bourbon sounds interesting.

Old Fitzgerald and Makers are both wheated as well as Larceny. Supposedly Makers cask strength is very good. I haven't had a chance to try it yet.Calvinball wrote:How much is the W.L. Weller? Wheated bourbon sounds interesting.

Makers Cask is 5/7. I had some when I went to the distillery last spring. Highly recommended.

Checked for Makers Cask at my local dispensery. No luck. Will need to stick to few and far between US selections. I'll give it a try next time I cross the border. See what y'all are going on a-boot
