On the brightside, we are getting answers on all these constitutional crisis questions we've had for the last 200 years.

The President is going on Fox and Friends this morning and admitting to committing a felony. Did this happen? And what was the felony? How much teflon is this guy made of?
Yes. He said that the payment was made but by him and not the campaign.... doesn't matter
Serious question... really don't know... what would the felony charge be?
Technical term is like excessive campaign contribution and conspiracy.
“It is a crime to make excessive, unreported campaign contributions, even to pay off a mistress, if done for the purpose of influencing the campaign,” Rick Hasen, an election law expert at the University of California Irvine, told me. “That’s what Cohen admitted to, and if done willfully, it is a crime.”
"Trump is clearly guilty of violating campaign finance laws and also guilty of federal conspiracy as well (because he agreed with Cohen, and possibly others, on a plan to violate federal law),” Cornell’s Jens David Ohlin said to Illing. “Normally he would be indicted right away. But that won’t happen only because he’s the president.”

Finding incidences of hypocrisy in any political disposition is the easiest and weakest argument against that disposition. It's the kind of Facebook bilge that convinces nobody, ever. I get it: it's rarely designed to influence others' opinion, it's more to make the deeply-entrenched feel better.
Oh, I see. Yeah that'll be near impossible to prove.KYGTIGuy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 12:22 pmTechnical term is like excessive campaign contribution and conspiracy.

Also, still not clear what's a felony and what's not.
Not really. The affairs happened 10 years prior and the payment was made on October 26 2016.Thedude wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 12:34 pmOh, I see. Yeah that'll be near impossible to prove.KYGTIGuy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 12:22 pm

I have no idea why he wasted any money paying either of those women. Dems already think he's the antichrist and having affairs with pornstars and playmates should just register a from them. Seems like most Republicunts don't care if Trump fucked a goat as long as he's nominating the right SCOTUS candidates, the ends justify ANY means.....so why pay them to start out with. Everyone knows the guy is a below board in every phase of life. Like trying to patch the hole in the Titanic with Silly Putty.

Easy. It could be argued that it would have been dealt with earlier if it was about to be leaked earlier. Timing, while optically not all that great, doesn't prove otherwise.

If it's hypocrisy about the cruel treatment of minors and asylum seekers, or any powerless people, disenfranchised, minorities, etc, sure. Has there been much hypocrisy from the left about that?
No luck needed. Near impossible to prove absent something in writing (The Don never does) or a tape with him explicitly and undoubtedly saying so.
Look, if that's all they have on him he's sitting pretty. The real deal is what comes out of the what sweet songs the bird sings to Mueller.
