Yea...the new Camaro...yea...

I think i missed that you no longer have the Camaro? The JL will be the new DD? What is the current fleet?CorvetteWaxer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 11:35 amThe Camaro would have been bone dry and needing a new motor, twice.
The refresh just cements it as being the ugliest of the three and it's not even close. That black bar going across the nose of the SS is .
The mustang may not look good but it's not hideous like this. It's grown on me a bit to be inoffensive. Challenger is still the best looking of the three.

Got rid of the Camaro on Saturday and bought a Colorado ZR2. JL is still inbound. I will swap between the JL and the ZR2 with the wife and keep the Z06 for sunny weather days.D Griff wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 12:56 pmI think i missed that you no longer have the Camaro? 181 HP (+26 HP)
151 lb-ft (+3 lb-ft)
Possibly increased redline

Since it has barely any increase in torque... I am assuming the redline is getting raised by 500-900 revsJohnny_P wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 1:13 pm https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/f ... ul-engine/

I'm renting a Fiata this week, starting tomorrow. I'm pretty excited to try out this platform.

I liked it. Allison also really like it
Steering and handling were nice, the seats were super comfy, great road trip/DD type car.
I'd have to get a one though, the six speed was pretty shitty. Power with the NA 6 cylinder was decent enough, not fast, not slow. I can see why people like these cars, it does a lot of things pretty well, comfortable, quiet, looks great, fairly fun to drive. It was surprisingly small though, the trunk is smaller than the '97 Civic I had, back seat too, despite the fact that it's a bigger and heavier car.
If I add a DD at some point, I'll consider a 3 series still, but I think if there's already a RWD car in the stable, a hot hatch of sorts might make more sense. They get much better fuel economy, are quicker, and have more usable space, you're just giving up looks (generally) and RWD.

The E90 is very small out back. It has less backseat space than a golf... and agreed on 6 speed... it isD Griff wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:04 pmI liked it. Allison also really like it

I will make the bold statement that the six speed auto in the F550 is significantly more responsive and enjoyable to operate.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:07 pmThe E90 is very small out back. it is likely that the 6 speed in the BMW has never been serviced either... dat lifetime fill... that kills the tranny by 120k-150k miles...
BTW the car you drove looks like it was fairly old too... how was it holding up? leather wear? Shiny wheel? all buttons/pixels work?
Funny noises or vibrations?

That's disappointing. Yeah E90 you should def get the
The newer ones with the 8AT? I dunno. Auto might be the better pick. Certainly would deserve more discussion. I didn't exactly like the 8AT but I also didn't try it in bro mode.

It was pretty solid, actually. It was a 2008. The dudebro who I rented it from clearly didn't give much of a damn about the car, didn't even check m license.max225 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 2:12 pmit is likely that the 6 speed in the BMW has never been serviced either... dat lifetime fill... that kills the tranny by 120k-150k miles...

Seats were in great shape, nothing in the interior looked worn at all other than the steering wheel shine, but nothing offensive. It drove pretty well, the only thing that was off about it was a sort of steering jerk under heavy brake application, some kind of alignment issue maybe.
