I think I am going to go for a more pointy shape, so a little tighter in the cheeks when it gets longer. I just think that'll fit my face shape better. We'll see.
Looking good!!!
Do you even beard, bro?

Thanks! I'm gonna have mine point a touch more, and have them trim down the front where it points out away from my face.. I want that to be a straight drop down when viewed from the side.stripethree wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 12:04 pm I think I am going to go for a more pointy shape, so a little tighter in the cheeks when it gets longer. I actually have a memory of going to this very store as a young kid:
In this pic you can see the beginning of the name change, and even Jeffrey has made an early appearance.

The dude I had trim my beard before I went to SF took a lot more off than I wanted. He didn't understand what I was saying. Also took my cheek like down a good half inch, so now that looks funny while I'm growing that back in. Oh well. I'll probably go another 2-3 months before getting it trimmed or cleaned up at all to get some good length back on it.

LOL. because someone's gotta hold it down in Austin.
I thought about shaving the other day and just going back to my big ass sideburn chops.
I need a trim. I was supposed to get a haircut and trim by my barber before we went on our honeymoon to DC a few weeks ago but I had to cancel to go to some deposition stuff for work.

I went into a barber shop 2 blocks from work to see about a legit beard trim. Barber was surprised that I hadn't had one, was very complimentary of what I had goin' on. Could be just marketing customer service, dunno. Anyway, still got a mild shape up for $15, mostly getting the outliers that grow however the fuck they want. Got a new beard oil to try as well. I'd go back. Good stuff.

Nice. They run $20-25 here, so I just do it myself every month or so, unless I'm going somewhere that I want it to look extra nice for.stripethree wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 3:31 pm I went into a barber shop 2 blocks from work to see about a legit beard trim. I figured I'd try it at least once. It's a nice enough place that I might consider getting my haircut there. While the woman I currently go to is great, it is now a 25 min drive to get to her place, and that's when there is no traffic. Hard to pass up a 5 mins walk from work.

Even after just two uses I like this one better than the Texas Beard supply stuff. It seems to penetrate better. Even after brushing through, the TBS stuff still left things a little greasy feeling. This has not. I need to keep on the oil game regularly as it has been super hot which has been drying things out.
